Dennis
We walkedwith intertwined fingers toward work.
She looked up at me. “Thank you.”
“Don’t thank me. Thank Cindy and Serena.”
“Huh?
“I’ll tell you later.”
She squeezed my hand. “I love you too.”
She hadn’t said it in the coffee shop, but it was certainly good to hear it now.
I let go of her hand and circled my arm around her as we walked. “Are you ready for this?” I adjusted my stride to hers.
“Not really. Are you?”
“Definitely. It’s been harder than you can imagine ignoring you at work.”
“Hard, huh?” She giggled, looking down at my crotch.
“Keep it up and you’re getting another introduction to my desk.”
“Promises, promises.”
I slowed our pace as my cock hardened. “Stop that. I won’t be able to walk into work like this.”
“Just put your hands in your pockets like you always do.” She smiled.
I pulled my hand back and did just that. By the time we reached the building, I had things under control.
After Cindy had set up the Starbucks meeting, getting my Angel back had been easier than I’d expected, although there was certainly the possibility I’d need to do some groveling later for the way I’d treated her.
Soon the elevator doors parted upstairs, and we walked into our new reality.
Cindy was at her desk.
“Cin, let’s get the large group together in the boardroom at nine.”
She scribbled a note. “Sure.”
I looked at Jennifer. “That means you too, Angel.”
Cindy cocked an eyebrow, not missing what I’d said.
“And don’t be late for dinner tonight,” I added as I closed the door slowly.
Cindy was looking to Jennifer for an explanation. I listened at the door after it closed.
“You’re staying, and it’s not a secret anymore?” Cindy asked.
“Yes on both counts.”
“Good, because frankly, he needs the help—and the attitude lift.”
