Jaxson and I both nod in agreement as the producer and his team go into their own discussions, leaving the two of us in awkward silence. My eyes drift to him before turning towards the sink to wash some of the dishes we used.
“I think we did a great job today,” Jaxson says casually as he brings me over the mixing bowls we used. “What do you think?”
What do I think?
“Yeah, it was great.” As much as I want to tell him what I really think, now is not the time or place. At least, not right this second. But as soon as we’re alone… I’ll make him pay. Preferably with a set of blue balls and a knock to his sexual innuendo shit. The timer on the stove goes off, and I quickly move towards it, my fingers turning the oven off as I open the door to reveal a perfectly golden-brown pie, which I place on top of the cooling rack.
I’d already prepared one for us to cut this morning, fully aware that it was going to be the dessert for today after the producer’s assistant sentme a message asking questions. My body drifted towards the finished product in a yellow pie dish that I placed on the counter in front of where the cameras were filming. The perfect centerpiece for the final take.
As much as I’ve tried to keep myself together today, it’s hard. I can’t stop thinking about him between my thighs, and every little glance or lick of his tongue makes my pussy ache to have him attend to it once more.
“What’s wrong, Madi?” He asks, his breath hot against the back of my neck, sending chills down my spine and a smile to my lips that I try to force away.
“Nothing…”
“Just nothing?” He asks, my body turning to face him as my waist presses against the counter behind me. “Were you not pleased last night?”
“I was,” I force out, trying not to stutter over my words. “We’re filming. I didn’t think now would be a time to discuss all that.”
His devilish smile once again appears on the corner of his mouth as he nods. “You’re right. Why don’t you let me take you to dinner after this, or perhaps tomorrow? I’d love to make things up to you. Properly.”
Jaxson Rivers is asking me out?
Never in my life did I think he, of all people, would be asking me out. Then again, I never imagined he’d make me come the way he did last night either. But yet, here we are.
“Okay… I actually have a huge order that’s due tomorrow, so I need to work on it tonight. But perhaps, we can on Friday?”
“Friday it is,” he replies, backing away slowly as the producer calls him over to discuss a few things. My mind is frazzled by the interaction, knowing full well that before I’m able to work on the cake order I have due, I’m going to have to go upstairs, pull out my blue vibrator, and have a playdate.
Chapter Twenty-Five: Jaxson
The week flew by in a blur. I’d forgotten how much fun it was spending time with her. And the fact that she accepted going out to dinner with me tonight still astounds me. Though, from the small glimpses she gives me and the teasing gestures she’s made, it's been torturous.
“Hey, Jaxson!” Knox calls out the moment I step out of my car at Mrs. Kendall’s place. He’d asked me yesterday to come over, letting me know that the countertops were in and the crew was installing them today. The excitement over seeing the project building within me.
“Hey, man. I wouldn’t miss this for the world,” I reply, stepping into the open-armed half-hug that Knox offers. The last week has been super busy with filming and everything else. And as much as I would have loved to stop over sooner to take a look at things, I haven’t been able to.
The moment we step in through the front door, I’m blown away by the amount of changes that have taken place. The floors have all beenstripped, and the walls have been repainted with touches of Kylie's work everywhere. The smell of new paint drifts around the area as I follow him towards the kitchen.
The moment I step in, my eyes go wide, and my mouth drops. They had completely gutted it down to the last detail I gave them and already repainted it and had the new cabinetry and countertops installed. A few of the men are still working diligently at finishing the task.
“Wow, this is remarkable!” I gasp, turning my smile to Knox, who nods his head.
“I’m glad you like it. It’s taken a bit of time, but I have to admit—it looks good.”
The selections I made were great. The color scheme brightens the kitchen while also bringing a level of sophistication to it that I was looking for. And honestly, just maneuvering the cabinets around in the way I wanted created more space without us having to take down any more walls.
“I can’t wait to see it when it’s finished,” I finally say, turning my attention from the kitchen back to Knox. “I wish I was able to help out more.”
He waves me off with a smile, shaking his head. “Don’t be silly. Construction is my thing. Plus, you’re busy with the show, and from what Madi told me… she is too.”
His brow raises slightly as his smile grows at his comment. I know what he’s thinking, and I haven’t been forthcoming with anyone on what’s been going on between Madison and myself. The small bit of information is not something I was quite ready to share yet.
“Yes, she has. The producers really loved her skills at making desserts. So we’re working together moving forward on the show.”
“Just on the show?” He asks, causing me to roll my eyes.
“You know fishing for information is usually Madison’s trait.”
