“Stirring up trouble again, princess?”

I shrug my shoulder and smirk. “You’ll have to forgive me. My mind’s been a little preoccupied lately.”

“Hmm…” Javier gives me the side-eye and is about to say more when a black limo pulls up the driveway.

“Your chariot awaits,” Ryan says kissing the side of my head, placing his hand at my back and leads me towards it.

As we approach the driver gets out and opens the door for us. “Good evening,” He says shaking Ryan and Javier’s hands, and gives me a nod.

When we are all seated in the back, the guys on each side of me, the driver closes the door. The privacy window separating the front and back is rolled up and tinted black. We’re silent as the car pulls out of the driveway. Javier and Ryan grab my hands, lacing their fingers through mine.

“We missed you immensely, mi corazón.”

“Sorry we had to leave so unexpectedly. There was something we needed to deal with in person.”

“It couldn’t wait?” I ask, my frustration bleeding through.

“Not this.” There’s a look in his eye that makes me feel there’s more he isn’t telling me. Javier reaches up and traces my ear with the tip of his finger. “They look beautiful on you.”

“Very beautiful,” Ryan murmurs, fingering the necklace, then following the curve of my cleavage.

“Where are we going?” I ask.

“To dinner.”

“Where?”

“It wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you now would it?”
