“Get,” she repeated, and I swear, she bared her teeth just like that little heathen did!

I laughed, unable to help myself. “Fine. I’ll go.”

Rather than march toward the door, however, I stormed toward her, grabbed either side of her face and kissed her until she stopped thumping my chest and cradled my neck.

“I can’t be making out with you like some high school girl! This is my business,” she scolded, but when I turned to go, she pulled me back and stole a kiss of her own.

“Go, but don’t stay gone. Can you follow me home after work?” she asked, while staring up at me with those big, brown eyes.

I gave a slow nod, unable to hide the smile, “Love to.”

She winked, slapped my ass, and helped me spin toward the door.

Chapter 19

Montana

My phone buzzedin my pocket, and I answered it as I saddled my bike. My ass still tingled from her little smack, and I still hadn’t stopped smiling.

“Yeah?”

“Where the fuck you at?” Mak greeted with all the class he could muster.

“Mane Attraction.”

“Meet me at Steel Cages in ten minutes.” He hung up without waiting for a response.

I dropped the phone back into my pocket and rubbed my face. I hadn’t told him what Demetri wanted and I ordered Easy and Oak to stay quiet about it until I found a way to. How did you tell a man you needed him to cut the ol’ lady mark off his woman’s chest?

Because her brother ordered it, no less.

“Fuck me,” I repeated, firing the engine up.

Ten minutes later I pulled into the parking lot of Steel Cages and made my way to the front door.

“How is it goin’, Monty?” the doorman greeted with a big smile.

“Phil, you bald-headed son of a bitch, how ya been?” I shook up with him and he opened the door for me with a respectful pat to my shoulder.

“Been great. Tabitha is pregnant. Three months, they said at the visit. Ain’t that something!” Phil’s proud smile lit up his green eyes.

“That’s awesome, brother. Congratulations. That makes three, right?”

“That’s it, got two girls already. This is gonna be my boy,” he predicted.

“May it be so. Hey, tell the ol’ lady I said congrats, too, alright?”

“I will, man. I sure will,” Phil promised, as I left him and the lobby.

I took the few stairs down to the showroom and caught sight of Mak over in the corner. He was openly smoking a joint and wearing sunglasses, despite the dim lighting.

“Brother,” I greeted, pulling the chair out opposite of him.

I planted my ass in it and spied Easy coming out of the bathroom. Mak looked more impatient than pissed and his mouth thinned into an unreadable line before he gestured for Easy to hurry the fuck up.

“This asshole says you needed to talk to me.”

“Yeah,” I cleared my throat and glared at said asshole, while inwardly cursing his inability to keep his damn mouth shut. ”Yeah, Demetri called.”
