“I amverymuch looking forward to that,” Kizoshi said in a way that made Auslin wonder why she felt so strongly about meeting Sephen.
Knowing better than to question why, Auslin exchanged a few more words with Kizoshi before leaving to see Kitsuki.
Chapter 28
Kitsuki
When Kitsuki emerged from the bathroom in a towel, he had expected to be alone. To his great surprise, Auslin had returned, looking and smelling quite different from when they had parted after breakfast. “What happened?”
“I was talking with Kizoshi, and um…” Auslin trailed off with a blush as he looked down at the ground. The tantalizing scent of his arousal stirred Kitsuki’s lust.
Curiosity drove Kitsuki to take a closer look at his intended. Ancient Divine magic now existed under Auslin’s normal scent. Kitsuki wanted to strip Auslin bare to explore the new purple markings on his skin. “I was unaware my sister had arrived.”
“She said she would stay for a few weeks.”
“It appears you did a great deal more than simply talk with Kizoshi.”
Auslin’s arousal spiked as he took in Kitsuki’s nudity. “Yeah.”
The cut of Auslin’s shirt allowed Kitsuki to run a single claw along the new purple markings that entwined around his silver claiming mark. “I assume she is responsible for this?”
Auslin merely nodded, a beautiful blush spreading over his cheeks. His arousal continued to grow, smelling even more tempting because of the shift in his scent from his Divine heritage.
“It appears there is a great deal more to this story than you are capable of telling at the moment.”
Auslin’s voice was filled with sexual frustration as he groaned Kitsuki’s name in protest while looking up at him with wanton desire.
“Should I be concerned you are this aroused after a meeting with my sister?” Kitsuki questioned in mock seriousness.
The mage huffed in annoyance. “It has nothing to do with her and everything to do with you suddenly standing in front of me wearing only a towel.”
It pleased Kitsuki to see Auslin trembling with sexual need from the mere sight of him. His dragon rumbled with satisfaction, urging him forward to take advantage of what was so willingly being offered. “If the towel is a problem, I can remove it.”
“If you take that towel off, I’m not responsible for what happens,” Auslin warned. “I’m so tired of being forced to stop right when pleasure is so close.”
It was an intriguing threat. Feeling more playful than he had in centuries, Kitsuki used his magic to remove Auslin’s clothes, leaving him in nothing but his underwear. “Does that make it better?” His actions revealed Auslin’s Power markings coveringhis body in amethyst-colored lines that Kitsuki wanted to explore.
Auslin turned the tables on him. He ran his hands up Kitsuki’s torso to his shoulders with a seductive look. “The only thing that would make it better is if you were to take me right now.”
Kitsuki held Auslin’s wrists to stop him from further exploration. “You know we cannot. Not yet.”
Auslin clenched his hands into fists, then gave an impressive imitation of a shifter when he growled in frustration at being denied yet again. “It’s bad enough sleeping with you every night and having to behave,” Auslin complained. “You looking like this and insisting we can’t do anything is downright sadistic.”
“In my defense, I was not expecting you to appear so suddenly.” Kitsuki released his hold on Auslin. “I did not intend to tempt you.”
“Please, Kitsuki,” Auslin begged. His underwear did a poor job of hiding his arousal.
“Now who is the one doing the tempting?”
Auslin whined low in his throat. “I can’t take it anymore. I haven’t gotten off once since I returned to this time. I need you, soplease.”
When Kitsuki remained silent, Auslin kissed him forcefully in a bid for reconsideration. It became harder for the shifter monarch to remember why he was supposed to resist. His hands rebelled against his better judgment and encircled Auslin’s waist to pull him closer as their kisses grew more passionate.
Auslin subtly guided them toward the bed. When Kitsuki reminded him they should stop, Auslin groped the shifter king’s hardness through the towel. “Do you really want to stop?”
Kitsuki moved Auslin’s hand away. “It is not that I want to. It is that we must.”
“Why?” Auslin asked in agonized desperation.
