Auslin wondered what kind of mate would suit Maseo. Other than Kio, Auslin didn’t know about any of the half-wolf shifter’s previous partners. “I wish I knew if he was okay right now.”

“My magic has only activated once to protect him, likely from Kio.” Kitsuki stroked Auslin’s hair. “My ring will keep him safe.”
