Amelia felt a chill run down her spine.
Amelia: "Do you think the Council knows about this?"
Xander: "Unlikely. But we should be cautious."
As they explored deeper into the cave, they came upon a small chamber. In the center stood a stone pedestal, upon which rested a crystalline orb.
Liam: "Wow! What's that?"
Xander approached it carefully.
Xander: "An artifact. It seems to be a focus for magical energy."
Amelia felt uneasy.
Amelia: "Should we be here?"
Before Xander could respond, the orb began to glow softly. Liam reached out toward it.
Amelia: "Liam, don't—"
But as his fingers brushed the surface, a surge of light enveloped the chamber. Images flashed before their eyes—visions of past events, glimpses of possible futures.
Amelia saw herself standing amidst a battlefield, flames surrounding her. She heard distant echoes of voices calling her name. Xander saw the Council's chambers, shadowy figures plotting in whispers. Liam's eyes widened as he saw himself older, standing confidently among others like him.
The light faded as suddenly as it had appeared. They stood in stunned silence.
Amelia: "What was that?"
Xander looked shaken.
Xander: "The orb must have shown us visions. It reacts to those with magical potential."
Liam blinked, his voice small.
Liam: "I saw people like me."
Amelia knelt beside him.
Amelia: "What did you see, honey?"
Liam: "I was helping them. We were making things better."
Xander exchanged a meaningful look with Amelia.
Xander: "Perhaps it's showing us possibilities."
Amelia stood, her resolve strengthening.
Amelia: "Then we need to be prepared for whatever comes."

Back at the cottage, they gathered around the table. Seraphine had joined them, her expression serious after hearing about the cave.
Seraphine: "The orb you found is a powerful relic. It's said to reveal destinies."
Amelia: "Can it help us against the Council?"
