Amelia: "Just a little adventure, okay?"
He nodded, trusting her completely.
As they guided Liam to the cellar door hidden beneath a rug, the sounds outside grew louder—footsteps, whispers, the creak of branches.
Seraphine: "They're closing in."
Xander helped Amelia and Liam descend the narrow steps into the cellar. It was dark and cool, lined with stone walls etched with ancient runes.
Amelia: "Will we be safe here?"
Marcus: "For now. The runes will conceal you."
Xander prepared to close the door.
Xander: "I need to stay up top. Buy us some time."
Amelia: Grabbing his arm "Be careful."
He gave her a reassuring smile.
Xander: "I will. Stay with Liam."
He closed the cellar door, and the darkness enveloped them. Amelia held Liam close as they listened to the muffled sounds above.

Above ground, Xander, Marcus, and Seraphine took positions near the windows and doors. Figures emerged from the shadows—cloaked individuals with determined expressions.
Lead Figure: "We know the boy is here. Hand him over, and no harm will come to you."
Xander stepped forward, his voice steady.
Xander: "You'll have to get through us first."
The intruders exchanged glances before spreading out, attempting to encircle the cottage.
Marcus: Muttering "They're trying to find a weakness in the wards."
Seraphine began to chant softly, reinforcing the protective barriers. A shimmering glow surrounded the cottage, but it flickered under the strain.
Xander: "We can't hold them off forever."
Suddenly, a loud crack echoed as one of the intruders unleashed a bolt of energy, striking the barrier and causing it to waver.
Lead Figure: "The prophecy will be fulfilled, one way or another!"
Inside the cellar, Liam looked up at Amelia, his eyes reflecting fear and determination.
Liam: "Mommy, I can help."
Amelia: "No, Liam. It's too dangerous."
Liam: "But they're here because of me. I don't want anyone to get hurt."
Amelia struggled with her emotions.
Amelia: "I know, but you're just a child."
