Tears formed in the Shadow King's eyes, his defenses crumbling.

Shadow King: "I don't deserve forgiveness."

Liam offered a small, compassionate smile.

Liam: "Everyone deserves a second chance."

As the Shadow King grappled with his turmoil, a sudden movement caught Amelia's eye. From the ranks of the enemy, a rogue lieutenant broke formation, fury contorting his features.

Lieutenant: "Weakness! I will not stand for this!"

He hurled a lethal spell aimed directly at Liam.

Time seemed to slow. Amelia reacted instinctively, moving to shield her son. The spell struck her squarely, and she collapsed to the ground.

Xander: "Amelia!"

Chaos erupted once more. The Shadow King, witnessing the act, was torn between his dark past and the glimmer of redemption.

Liam cried out, rushing to his mother's side.

Liam: "Mom! Please, wake up!"

Amelia's breathing was shallow, her face pale.

The Shadow King turned on the lieutenant, rage and sorrow in his eyes.

Shadow King: "You dare defy me?"

He disintegrated the lieutenant with a wave of his hand.

Turning back to Amelia, he knelt beside her.

Shadow King: "I... I'm sorry."

Liam looked up, tears streaming down his face.

Liam: "Help her! Please!"

The Shadow King hesitated before placing his hands over Amelia, channeling healing energy.

The dark aura around him began to dissipate as he poured his essence into saving her.

After a tense moment, Amelia's eyes fluttered open.

Amelia: "What happened?"

Xander exhaled in relief.

Xander: "You're okay."

The Shadow King stood, visibly weakened.

Shadow King: "I've undone what I could."

Elder Magnus approached cautiously.

Elder Magnus: "You made the right choice."
