Xander: "There's something else I need to tell you."

She raised an eyebrow.

Amelia: "More secrets?"

He smiled wryly.

Xander: "Not a secret, exactly. More of an admission."

She waited expectantly.

Xander: "I never stopped loving you."

Her breath caught.

Amelia: "Xander..."

He continued.

Xander: "I know I've made mistakes, but my feelings for you have never changed."

She looked away, emotions swirling within her.

Amelia: "It's been hard, not knowing where we stood."

He gently turned her face back toward him.

Xander: "I want us to be a family again. Truly."

She searched his eyes.

Amelia: "I want that too. But we need to rebuild trust."

Xander: "I'm willing to do whatever it takes."

Before she could respond, a loud crash sound came from outside. They both jumped to their feet.

Amelia: "What was that?"

Seraphine burst into the room, urgency in her voice.

Seraphine: "We're under attack!"

Xander's expression hardened.

Xander: "The Council?"

Seraphine: "No. It's something else."

Marcus appeared, a grim look on his face.

Marcus: "It's a rogue faction. They oppose both us and the Council."

Amelia's heart raced.

Amelia: "Where's Liam?"
