Amelia: "You're quite the observer."

Xander: "Only when someone captivates me."

She leaned in slightly.

Amelia: "And what happens when you're captivated?"

Xander: "I find it hard to stay away."

Their faces were mere inches apart.

Amelia: "Then maybe you shouldn't."

He hesitated for a brief moment before closing the distance between them, his lips meeting hers in a soft, tentative kiss. She responded, the kiss deepening as their mutual attraction ignited.

When they finally pulled apart, both were slightly breathless.

Amelia: Whispering "Wow."

Xander: "I've wanted to do that since the night we met."

Amelia: "What took you so long?"

Xander: Smiling "I was trying to be a gentleman."

Amelia: "Maybe I don't mind if you're not always a gentleman."

He chuckled softly.

Xander: "Noted."

She lay back down, and he joined her, their hands finding each other in the space between them.

Amelia: "Tell me something real."

Xander: "Like what?"

Amelia: "Anything. Something you don't usually share."

He was quiet for a moment.

Xander: "I often feel like an outsider, even among those closest to me."

Amelia: "Why?"

Xander: "Because there's a part of me that I have to keep hidden."

Amelia: "You can be yourself with me."

He turned his head to look at her.

Xander: "I want to believe that."

Amelia: "What's stopping you?"

Xander: "Fear. Responsibility. The possibility that the truth could change everything."

She squeezed his hand gently.
