Laci looked doubtful. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you. Y’all are just now back together. Maybe you should give it some time.”

Amusement circled through Treasure. “So now I have your blessing?”

“Yeah, I think you do.” Laci’s expression suggested that she was still processing everything as she spoke. “I’m glad you told me the truth. Now that I know … well, it changes everything.”

Emotion thickened Treasure’s throat. “Thanks for listening. I hope you know how much I appreciate your friendship.”

“Right back at you. So, what’s the verdict? Are you telling Greer?”

“I’m not sure. I guess I’ll have to give it more thought.”

“Fair enough.” A grin broke over Laci’s face. “Okay, enough of the sad and depressing. Whaddaya say we watch a movie?”

“Sounds good to me. As long as it’s something lighthearted and funny.”

“Amen,” Laci agreed heartily.
