When the driver took Felicity back home that night, she was exhausted, her legs barely able to hold her frame up. But she was also satisfied, a woman who had gone to heaven and was now back to her old life.
Chapter Six
Felicity sat at her desk, her eyes drifting toward the clock as she waited for the final bell to ring. It had been two weeks since that weekend with Nathan and John, and though life had returned to normal—her normal—it no longer felt the same. Before, she had been content with the simplicity of her daily routine. She’d loved her job, found comfort in her small apartment, and enjoyed the quiet solitude of her evenings. But now... everything felt different.
She couldn’t stop thinking about them—about the intoxicating mix of passion, tenderness, and power she had experienced in their presence. Those two days had awakened something inside her, something she didn’t know existed. She’d always been fine with how predictable her life was, how steady and uneventful it felt. But after that weekend, “fine” wasn’t enough.
The memory of waking up between them, the warmth of their bodies surrounding her, had been burned into her mind. Each night since then, she would dream of it—of their mansion, the luxury, and the way they had taken care of her so completely. And each morning, she would wake up feeling hollow, the weight of her mundane life pressing down on her. She loved herstudents and loved teaching, but it wasn’t enough to fill the void that had opened up within her.
Felicity found herself bored in ways she had never been before. She used to find joy in her little routines—grading papers, chatting with her colleagues, reading books on the weekends. Now, none of it held the same spark. It all felt too small, too predictable. She wanted more, craved the excitement she had felt with Nathan and John. The thrill of being desired, cherished, and... challenged.
The bell rang, jolting her from her thoughts. She watched her students pack up their bags and file out of the room, their voices a distant hum in the background. She managed a smile, waving goodbye to a few of them, but her mind was still back in that sprawling mansion, where life had felt so much bigger, so much more alive.
When the last student left, she sighed and leaned back in her chair. She had told herself it was just for one weekend. That she could go back to her normal life after, and everything would be the same. But it wasn’t. It couldn’t be.
She wasn’t the same person she had been two weeks ago.
Every night, she lay awake in bed, her body tingling with the memory of their touch, the echo of their words still lingering in her mind. She tried to push it away, tried to tell herself that she could forget them and didn’t need that life. But the truth was... she missed them. Missed the way they had made her feel.
Later that day, she was back in her house, lounging on the couch and wondering what to have for dinner. She wished she had Nathan there. He would know what she should have for dinner and get it for her without asking. The indecision wasn’t just about food. Everything lately felt like a choice she didn’t want to make—a series of small, mundane decisions that never quite satisfied her. The memory of those days with Nathan and John flickered through her mind like a vivid dream. A wholeweekend where the only choice she’d had to make was to accept their offer or not.
Her phone rang, snapping her out of her thoughts. She glanced at the screen, frowning when she did not recognize the number. She answered the call and raised the phone to her ear.
“Hello?”
She instantly recognized the deep, familiar voice that poured through the line. "Felicity," he said, and just the sound of her name in his voice sent a jolt of excitement through her. “There’s a package waiting for you at your door.”
Her breath caught in her throat. "What?"
“Go check,” he said, his tone calm but commanding. It made her pulse quicken.
She hesitated for a second before standing and walking to her front door. Opening it, she saw the same driver who had picked her up that first time. He stood expressionless, holding a sleek black package and an envelope. Without a word, he handed them to her and nodded.
Felicity’s hands shook as she opened the envelope. Inside was a short, handwritten note from John.
Put this on and get in the car.
Her pulse raced as she looked up at the driver, who stood waiting patiently by the car. Without a word, Felicity took the package into her room, closing the door behind her. She unwrapped it carefully, revealing a stunning red dress, the fabric soft and silky under her fingers. It was elegant yet daring, with matching heels and delicate jewelry nestled beneath it.
She stared at the outfit for a moment, her mind spinning. This was it. She could feel the pull, the inevitable lure of what waited for her if she put it on. She slipped into the dress, the fabric hugging her curves perfectly, and fastened the necklace around her neck. The heels were made for her. It was as if everything had been chosen with her in mind. She took one lastlook in the mirror, her heart pounding, then, without further hesitation, she left her apartment.
The driver was waiting for her, holding the car door open. She slid into the back seat, and the door closed with a soft thud. As the car pulled away, her stomach fluttered with anticipation. She knew exactly where she was going.
The drive felt like a blur, the city lights flashing by as they made their way back to the mansion. Her mind raced with questions—what was going to happen? What did they want from her tonight? But no matter how nervous she felt, a deep, undeniable excitement built in her chest.
When they finally arrived, the mansion loomed before her once again, just as imposing and beautiful as she remembered. As the car came to a smooth stop in front of the building, Felicity’s heart raced in anticipation. This time, she didn’t feel like a stranger. This time, she was ready.
The driver opened the door, and Felicity stepped out, smoothing the dress as she looked up at the grand entrance. When her eyes landed on Nathan and John standing at the top of the steps, her breath caught in her throat. They looked just as handsome and commanding as she remembered, their intense gazes fixed on her.
Her heart skipped a beat, but it wasn’t just her heart. She felt the stirrings in other parts of her body too—the electric pull of anticipation that had been dormant since the last time she had been with them. The memory of their touch, their closeness, made her shiver in the cool evening air.
As she reached the bottom of the stairs, they both stepped forward, each man taking one of her hands.
"Felicity," John said, leaning in to brush his lips against her cheeks in a soft, lingering kiss. "It’s good to see you."
Nathan pulled her gently toward him, his lips kissing the other side of her cheek with a tenderness that made her kneesweak. "We missed you," he murmured against her face. "How are you doing?"
Felicity’s mind swirled, the world spinning around her as she stood between them. "I’m… I’m good," she said, breathless. "Better now."
