When they arrived back at the cabin, Rose grabbed the bags for her while Vincet gathered the groceries. She walked back to the room she was using, and he went to put the food up where it belongs and to start on dinner.

Rose decided she’d take a quick shower and change into a nice dress that was in the closet for their dinner by the lake. As she made her way to the bathroom, Rose heard Vincent whistling while getting dinner started. A smile bloomed on her face as she was aware that he was happy. She’d noticed he’d whistle around the house when he was happy while he’d scowl when he was in a bad mood or angry about something.

Rose walked toward the kitchen, as she had finished getting dressed after her shower, to see if Vincent needed any help. She’d turned the corner and bumped into Vincent.

“I’m sorry.”

“Are you alright?”

They spoke at the same time. It made the pair chuckle a little. Rose saw Vincent rake his eyes over her outfit and a small smile crept on his face.

“Did you need any help?”

“I think everything is ready. I was just going to check on you. I hope you’re hungry. Let’s make our way to the lake.”

Vincent offered Rose his arm and she gladly took it. As they passed by the table, Vincent grabbed the basket sitting on it, they continued on their way out of the cabin and toward a blanket that was set up near the lake already waiting on the two of them. There were a couple of lights placed around the area to give it a romantic feeling.

The sun had started to set and the colors of the sky were vibrant as Rose looked around her. She felt she had been whisked away to a far-off land, and when she turned her attention back to Vincent, her breath caught at what she saw in his eyes.

“Please come have a seat so we can eat and enjoy this lovely sunset.”

Vincent held out his hand for Rose. She placed her hand in his as he led her more toward the blanket and where he wanted her to sit. Once she sat down, Vincent followed in sitting on the blanket and placed the basket down between them. He opened the lid and pulled out everything that he placed inside.

Rose saw a salad along with some veggies as well as a steak. Her stomach started to rumble and they both laughed at the sound. He made her a plate then his. Rose had distributed the silverware and poured them both something to drink.

Vincent had thought of everything and had already cut up the steak into bite size pieces to make it easier to eat. Rose took her first bite of steak and the moan that she made from the flavors that danced on her tongue from that bite couldn’t be helped.

A slight blush rose on her cheeks when she looked over at Vincent after she realized the noise she made. He looked at her with lust filled eyes and it made the heat on her cheeks more prominent the longer he looked at her. She noticed his eyes were fixed on her lips and as she licked them, he followed her tongue from one side to the other.

Rose looked down at her plate and began eating again as the smell from the food was amazing and the taste matched what she ate. She would look up at the sky to see the colors change slightly more as the sun went down further beyond the horizon.

“Thank you for dinner. You’re an amazing cook.”

Vincent took a sip of his drink and cleared his throat before he replied, “You’re quite welcome, Rose. I’ve enjoyed out time together and while I know I didn’t ask but I had hoped you’d think of this as a date.”

With those last words, Vincent looked up into Rose’s eyes and he saw the happiness at what he just said. The smile on her face also confirmed how happy she was as well. They continued to finish their dinner with them both sneaking glances at the other.

When they are both finished eating, the sky is getting darker but around the lake they can see fireflies flickering around. Rose asked Vincent about his family and him growing up. Since she couldn’t remember who she was, Rose enjoyed the stories that Vincent told her about his family.

After a few hours, the night brought on a slight chill and so they packed up everything and made their way back to the cabin. On the walk back, Rose took hold of Vincent’s hand which startled him but he smiled down at her and they walked back hand in hand.

At the door of the cabin, Vincent stopped Rose and placed the basket on the rocking chair before he turned Rose toward him and leaned down to give her a kiss on her lips. It was just meant to be a peck, but once their lips came together, Vincent wrapped his arms around Rose and brought her even closer to his body.

Rose slid her hands up his chest and around his neck as they deepened the kiss. When they pulled apart to catch their breaths, Vincent placed his forehead onto hers.

“I’ve wanted to do that for a while now.”

“You can do that anytime you want.”

She leaned up on her toes to give him another kiss and slowly moved her arms from around him as she turned to open the door for him. Vincent went to the kitchen and placed the basket on the counter and removed the dirty containers into the sink for later.

“Why don’t you let those wait and come and join me?”

Vincent turned to look at Rose and saw that she held out her hand for him to come to her. He took his time as she only had on her lingerie. His eyes roamed her body and he felt his jeans getting tight as he grasped her hand while he walked almost running toward his bedroom.
