I go still. “You do?”

He shrugs. “Of course. It felt real cozy last night, all of us together. But, guess what?”

“What?”

“We’ll have that with our own kids one day.”

My heart gives a jump. “Kids, plural?”

“As many as I can breed out of you.”

I gasp and slap his arm. “That’s rude… but also kindasexy?” I mutter as my clit tingles.

He pulls me closer. “You better believe it. I’m gonna breed your sweet body every day from now on, until my seed is spilling out of you.”

I bite my lip. “You know, a few days ago, I was darn sure I never wanted kids.”

“But now?”

“Well, I guess they’re not so bad after all.”

He’s looking at me intently. Kinda hopeful, kinda wounded.

“I can’t wait to have your kids, Lock,” I tell him.

He lets out a possessive growly sound, and holds me tighter.

I gaze out of the window. “I’m gonna miss this place, too,” I say.

“Why?”

“Because… it feels like home.”

“Then let’s stay.”

“Huh?” I give him a questioning look.

“They’ve already offered. This place is ours if we want it.”

I blink, trying to process the words. “We could live here, permanently?”

“Yup.”

“Like, become part of the community?”

“Definitely. That part is not optional.” He laughs.

“And we won’t have to say goodbye to the kids.” I exhale slowly. “B-but won’t you miss your cabin?”

“Nope. I was a miserable bastard the whole time I was there. I’m ready to start a new life with you.”

“Do you think the clan will accept me, you know, as a human?”

“You’re already accepted. That’s how bears work. If they trust you, that’s it.”

My heart lifts. This is about the best thing I could imagine. Why not stay here with my gorgeous shifter mate, surrounded by his own people? “Yes,” I say. “Let’s stay.”

Lock breaks into a grin. “We’re going to be so happy here, baby.” Then he strides to the door and flings it open. “We’re staying!” he shouts.
