Daisy

I didn’t get to meet any of the women before we left. Master held my hand to walk me up the steps and out the door, and most everyone was already outside. Master put my helmet on me, got on the bike, talked me through getting on behind him, told me where to put my feet, and told me I could let go for a few seconds if we came to a stop, but he’d be displeased if a light turned green and my arms weren’t back around him.

We sat maybe another three minutes, and then everyone started their bike at once, and wow, was it loud.

Pulling out of the gates was surreal, like I was part of something big. Bigger than a parade. Everyone looked at us as we drove by, and when we got out of town and onto back roads, the bikes reminded me of dancers, following perfectly behind each other, tilting in the curves as if on cue, and then back up straight, one after another.

We drove a long time, over at least two mountains, and then stopped at what looked like a little mom-and-pop diner in the middle of nowhere.

“Hour and a half,” someone said. “Made good time. They might not be ready for us yet.”

“I’ll go in and check,” Brain said, and he went in by himself.

“C’mon, Daisy May. Let’s head off into the woods.”

I followed him a hundred yards into the woods, and he told me, “Squat and pee, little slave.” He unzipped his pants, whipped his dick out, and began to pee, so I unzipped the jumpsuit, pulled it down, and tried to squat without falling. He’d made me pee in the backyard a few times, and now I understood why, but it’s easier to manage when you’re naked. When he sawI was struggling, he talked me through it, so I could pee on the ground like an animal without getting it on my jumpsuit. It was awful, but he was clearly unhappy with my discomfort, so I tried to act like what we were doing was normal. Still, I was naked on top as well as on bottom, and we were outside, in the woods, where someone might come upon us. I’m used to being naked around Master, but it would be wrong for strangers to see me.

“People peed in the woods for millions of years before indoor plumbing was invented. It’s the bathroom that isn’t normal. You ready to head back?”

He’d had a little baggie with baby wipes in it, and another to put them in after I used them, and that had taken care of both wiping and washing my hands. “Yes, Master.”

“Sirin the restaurant. You’ll be punished if you sayMasteraround civilians.”

Right, civiliansmeant anyone not accepted as part of the club. I still didn’t know if I’d have to call himMasteraround the other women or not, but at least it wasn’t likely to happen today.

Someone had ordered lemonade for me and beer for Master, and our glasses were already there when we took our seats.

Master handed me a menu and said, “More than a salad,” before he looked his over, and a woman in front of me said, “I recommend the ribs, if you like ribs. The country fried steak is great, and the meatloaf. I’m Harmony, and I belong to Brain.”

“I’m Daisy. It’s nice to meet you.”

“Oh, weallknow who you are,” a thin man not in a cut said to me from a few seats away, “and we’re dying to meet you. I’m Matty, and this is Angelica beside me. Gen’s on the other side of Duke over there, and I think that’s all of us close enough to talk to you without shouting. How did you and Dozer meet?”

“She stole my Ramcharger,” Dozer told them. “I know ya’ll have heard the gossip. Don’t go asking questions when you already know the answers, Matty.”

The smaller man rolled his eyes at Dozer and looked to Gen, who said, “Rumors aren’t always true, we needed to know for sure. Are yousureshe’s eighteen?”

Dozer touched my hand before I could tell them I was nineteen, and I realized if I changed identities, my new one might be slightly older or younger. “Ya’ll know me better than that. I’m not a kid-fucker.”

“No, you aren’t,” Matty said, and he looked at me and touched the collar on his neck before looking at mine and then meeting my gaze again. After a few seconds, he looked back to Dozer. “I’d love a chance to talk to her away from everyone, with your permission.”

Master looked at him a few seconds, and then looked to Razor, sitting beside Matty. Razor nodded to Master and told Matty, “Maybe we can invite them over for dinner in a few weeks. You remember how it was when we first started dating, and we wanted to spend every waking minute together and alone? I think that’s where they are right now.”

When I’d met Razor the night before, never in a million years would I have guessed he was gay, but the two lookedrighttogether, and I leaned into Master on instinct.

“Do you know what you want to order, little flower?” Master asked.

“I think I want the ribs, Sir, and maybe some steamed broccoli on the side, along with a small salad?”

“Potato casserole,” Angelica said. “It’s to die for. Seriously.”

I looked at Master and nodded, and when the server came to get our order, Master ordered for both of us. I’d meant to substitute the broccoli for the potato casserole, but I got both. Not a huge deal, because Master ate what I didn’t, and Harmony and Angelica had been right about the ribs and the potato casserole.

When we left the restaurant, we went to a park with a lot of waterfalls, and we got off the bikes to look at them, but Master held my hand the whole time, so there was no danger I’d get farther than twelve feet from him.

And then we took the trip back, but Master peeled off before we got back to the clubhouse, and took me home. I was both relieved and disappointed.
