So, it was worth it.

After hidingthe unfortunate goods everywhere, I slipped out of the room and made my way to the pond. I didn’t see any wolves up and moving yet, so I tapped into my enhanced speed to get me there as fast as possible.

Porter was going to be livid when he woke up, and I wasn’t going to be in the room when he did.

Sex wars could be fought at a distance.

Partially, at least.

The next stage in my plan would require a little more hands-on effort, but I definitely wasn’t dreading that. There was no way in hell that Porter was going to let me sleep in our bedroom alone when it smelled like both my pleasure and other men. Not a single chance. And I’d made sure to hide the underwear so thoroughly thateverythingwould smell.

Our clothes.

Our shoes.

Our toilet paper.

Our towels.

Our sheets and blankets.

Our pillows.

The bedframe and box springs beneath our mattress.

Yeah, I was golden.

And Porter was going to lose his mind. Giddiness had me grinning at the thought.

I stripped out of my bikini and dropped it beneath a tree, diving into the gorgeous blue water. It was almost clear—and if I tapped into my magic, I could make it better.

There was no reason to let Porter believe we weren’t at war after what he’d done, so I went ahead and pulled my magic to the surface. Not all of it—I didn’t want anyone drowning themselves in their desperation to find me beneath the water—but enough.

Any wolf who came nearby would feel it.

They wouldn’t be able to reach me, of course. But they’d want to.

If Porter thoughthewould have the upper hand in a sex war, he was deluded.

Fur had nothing on siren magic.

IZZY

I paidclose attention to the lake as I purified the water. If anyone put themselves in danger, I’d have to stop, of course. Clothing was the only acceptable casualty in a war of sex. Underwear in particular.

Thankfully, the wolves who were pulled in by my magic stayed close to the shore, just hanging out in the water without searching for me.

I heard Porter’s snarl through our mental bond, and my lips stretched in a wicked smile.

Served the bastard right.

“What did you do?”he demanded.

“I told you I didn’t want to sleep alone.”

“I’ll kill every fucking man whose scent is in our room.”
