We walked back inside. Her fingers fell along the taupe furniture.

“Everything is so elegant. I thought this would be a bachelor pad. Clothes tossed over the furniture,” she laughed.

“The maid hides any evidence that a bachelor lives here.”

Kara stretched her fingers over the cold cream marble kitchen countertop. “All Viking appliances. One thing in common you, me, and my dad have.”

“Yes, I noticed you didn’t spare any cost when it came to your kitchen appliances.”

“Viking appliances make you feel like a chef,” she chuckled.

“True.”

“I do love your cooking, chef Collin.” Her fingers slid up my forearms, halting at the folded sleeves of my gray button-down shirt.

My brows rose. “You do?”

“Yes.” She stood on her tippy toes and pecked my lips. “On to the tour.”

We concluded the tour outside our bedroom.

“There is definitely no shortage of bathrooms.”

“If we have a dinner party, I don’t want guests in our room.”

“Am I expected to host dinner parties?” Her eyes grew as big as saucers.

“No, you don’t have too. I host about three a year, though.”

She rubbed her brow, and her slanted eyes closed. “Then I have to host dinner parties.”

“It’s not as bad as it sounds. Each time I hire a catering company. All we’ll do is mingle with the guests.”

She leaned against the wall. “What other social events am I expected to be involved in?”

“I won’t overwhelm you today. I’ve saved the best for last.” I turned the bedroom door knob and swung the door open.

Kara halted at the threshold. “I have similar curtains around my bed.”

I kissed her neck. “Exactly. I wanted to give you a piece of home.”

She stepped inside the sheer white curtains. “This bed will help me sleep better. When did you do all of this?”

“I called my designer last week and sent a picture of your bed and asked her to order one similar.”

“This bed is huge. I love the dark wood finishing. Tell her she outdid herself.”

I stepped closer and kissed the top of her head from behind. “You can check out the master bath, then relax. I need to check my mail.”

She turned around. “How long can you go without bursting the seams of your khaki slacks?”

I glanced down at the bulge in my pants. “Not sure. I should probably take a cold shower.”

“No more cold showers, Collin. I’ve been ready. But now that I’m here I want to make love to you in our new beautiful bed.”

“Kara, we will. Eventually.”

I walked out the room, gripping my cock. What was I waiting for? Truthfully, we could have made love in Alaska. Everyone thought I’d have sex with her and disappear. Jokes on them, I didn’t. I planned to make love to her in our own home. The time would come. First, I’d allow her to get settled.
