Leaning my torso back, I looked down into her hazel eyes and growled, “say it.”

Her brows knit. “Say what?”

“That you’re mine”

She snorted out a chuckle. “Why would I say some dumb shit like that? Do you think you actually fucked me stupid, because that’s not possible. Intelligence isn’t attached to genitalia.”

My fist slammed on the wall next to her head. “Fucking say it!”

The furrow in her forehead deepened. “Are you okay?”

No, I was not okay.

“I’m not fucking around, Nova.” I grabbed her neck. “Say the fucking words.”

“Eat shit.” She coughed back at me.

My fingers squeezed around her throat. “I will snap your fucking neck before I let?—”

I stopped as something glinted in the corner of my eye.

What the hell was that?

Almost immediately, it happened again.

What the fuck?

My head tipped towards the window next to the screen door. There was a flash or movement coming from out there. Was somebody outside?

“Gio…”

“Shut up.” Clamping my hand over Nova’s mouth, I stretched my neck and tried to get a better look.

I didn’t see much, just a shadow, but it was enough to tell me that there was definitely something outside.

Attempting to make out what it was, I lifted my chin and tipped my head. Unfortunately, that didn’t help, and neither was Nova. She kept slapping my back and muttering into my palm. When that didn’t work, she tried to bite me. As amusing as her feeble fight was, she was distracting me.

“Will you settle down?”

“Uck ooo.”

“Fine.” I sighed and set her down. “There, happy?”

“No, I am not?—”

I slapped my hand back over her mouth. “Be quiet.”

After giving her a warning look, I dropped my hand and crept closer to the screen door.

“What the hell is wrong with you?”

I should’ve kept my hand over her mouth. “Did I not just tell you to be quiet?”

Not sure why I thought she would actually listen to me.

“Don’t tell me to be quiet. This is my house.” Her foot stomped.

My eyes rolled. Weren’t girls supposed to be calmer after they came? Not become raging balls of fury and spite. Next time she was getting fucked until she passed out.
