“I’ve been giving this a lot of thought,” Lex turned to me and stroked his fingers down my arm sending lightning bolts of feeling over my sensitive skin. “I think we should get married as soon as it’s possible for us to do so. I don’t care if the ceremony is small and only attended by our inner circles. I can’t lose you. Polonius will be relentless, this we know, but you’re beautiful and powerful, Aria. Polonius is not the only threat to our relationship. There will be others who want alliances in marriage. I won’t sit back and see you entertain another suitor. I want to be your husband if you’ll have me.” Lex stared into my eyes for a moment.
He was humbled, and his soft expression looked almost vulnerable. Gone was the naughty boy of our youth who used to tease me and play pranks on the young servant in his house. Now we were both sovereigns. Each of us had a kingdom and the one thing we both wanted might have torn us apart.
“But what about your succession to the throne of Navarrah City?” I asked, the only reason why Lex and I hadn’t decided to be married, outside of Polonius’ claim to me.
“Whatever throne we serve, we’ll do it together. I am fine staying in Onyx Rah with you. I feel my place is there. But truthfully it’s anywhere you are. I want us married and what comes next in our lives will come, but the two of us will be the constant, the foundation of our forever.” Lex’s worry turned to a confident smile.
“Yes,” I threw my arms around his neck and kissed him. “I think that may have been a marriage proposal?” I gave him a sly grin.
“It was perhaps one of the worst ever given but heartfelt and earnest.” Lex kissed me again.
“Despite that being true,” I laughed. “I will marry you, Lex Redveign.”
“Then you are my wife. All that keeps you from the role is a ring and a ceremony, and both you shall have as soon as we take back Navarrah City. Polonius needn’t even be dead since he never married you, but your proxy. In fact I would love to see the look on his face after he’s already broken all of his treaties and peace accords. He has no more bargaining chips, he’s showed his hand and we will show ours, united in matrimony,” Lex boasted, triumphantly.
“Yes, yes, yes,” I rolled him on top of me, needing to feel his warmth and the weight of his body.
One of his hands propped up beside my shoulder and the nape of my neck and the other gently fanned down the plane ofmy body, grazing over my painfully erect nipples on a journey to the dripping wetness between my legs. His hand palmed my sex as I arched into him, needing to feel his touch.
“You are so wet,” he laughed at my desperate state of arousal.
“I need you,” I said into his skin as I kissed his shoulder, allowing my hand to do its own investigating. “And I’m no more wet than you are hard,” I giggled against his flesh, feeling the tight thickness of his cock in the palm of my hand.
“Oh how we’ve missed each other.” His fingers spread my labia, opening me to the breeze and feel of the night air on my skin, stretching me for him to fill the emptiness his fingers made.
His warm lips descended upon my neck and kissed the sensitive place between my collarbone and ear, pulling my flesh into his teeth and leaving a mark there for the world to see.
“You’re mine,” he rasped with my skin still lodged in his bite. “And the world will know it.” He released me and shifted my gaze to meet his eyes. “Soon I’ll have you on my arm as my wife and queen and songwriters will write odes to celebrate our great love.” Lex’s eyes glazed over in feral desire.
“Such grandiose notions,” I teased as I pulled and played with his cock while it thickened and lengthened to an impossible size. “And that would be well and good, but right now, all I want is this,” I tugged on him harder. “And you.”
And for the first time in what felt like lifetimes, Lex rolled on top of me as I spread my legs wide and pressed his size and length in until I was filled with him. We were together, joined at our cores, seated in a place no other person would ever fill. My legs clamped around him, holding Lex in place as he slowly pumped himself in and out of me.
“I’m the only man your body will ever need,” he demanded as his thrusts became sharper and more enthusiastic.
“And I’m the only woman you will ever fill,” I proclaimed, holding his firm ass with my hands, pushing him into me, encouraging his lust.
“With my heart, my love, and my seed,” he laughed. “Oh the children we have yet to conceive will fill the kingdom with laughter and we’ll rule the world with our everlasting love.” He was lost to his ecstasy and all I could say, so thoroughly filled with him and enamored by my love of all that he was and could be was…
“Yes.”
Chapter 12
Lex
Waking up with Aria in my arms was a dream come true. I never wanted to leave the modest bed in the underground safehouse. For one moment in time we were protected and invisible. I wanted more time with her, but Hawk had already knocked on the door letting me know it was time to start our quests. I had a lot to accomplish in a short amount of time, so I kissed Aria’s head, hoping not to wake her, and slipped out of the bed. Just as I was getting out, Aria opened her eyes.
“Do you have to go?” She was sleepy and not quite awake though she knew exactly why I had to go as early as possible.
“I’ll be back,” I gave her another kiss.
“I hate that you have to leave, but I understand.” She offered a sweet, but sad smile. “I love you, Lex.”
“And I love you and will until the end of time. This doesn’t change anything. I’ll be back in a few days. The Royal Guard is good at what they do. I’m good, as are you. You didn’t dress up like a foreign prince and fight your ass off to get into a mediocre fighting unit. We got this.” I offered a wide and loving grin, hoping she'd be okay while I was gone.
“I’m going to go and see Amadeus and try to use my magic to heal his mind if I can. The sooner he recovers the better ourchances are with Polonius.” She sat up in bed and stretched her long muscular limbs.
Aria truly was a work of perfection, her lean strong muscles gave her body the sculpture of a warrior but her large eyes, soft breasts, and pillowy lips accentuated her beauty. It was hard to tear myself away from her but I did. We kissed and said our goodbye’s once more with a reiteration of our promise to marry one another as soon as we were able to get Navarrah City secured. Tears welled in her eyes as I left her, but she and I were strong, we’d braved so much. We could do this, we could fight these last battles so that we could be together stronger.
