“He’s alive and mostly okay,” Race informed them.

Everyone around the table exploded with questions all at once.

Race shared a look with Tuck letting him know he was going to tell them about Kylie’s involvement. Tuck nodded, knowing it was inevitable that they’d find out.

“Remember that incident with Crockett’s wife’s car getting repoed?”

Everyone nodded their heads.

“That was Kylie’s doing.”

“What?” Dagger’s shock matched everyone else’s. They all sported smiles and thought it was funny, but that would quickly change.

“From what she said, she set up an email account to deal with Crockett directly.”

See, right there, their humor died and something else took its place.

“She told him it was his wife’s car now, but it would be his house next time if they didn’t release Darren.”

Yep, they’d all realized what her interference meant for him or Darren. Although her heart was in the right place, she’d gotten involved where she wasn’t supposed to.

“Bet that really went over well,” Dagger scoffed.

“He reached out today. He sent a video of Darren in what looked like a jail cell.”

“Fuckers,” Chris grumbled and gritted his teeth.

“Yeah. Well, he wasn’t alone. It looked to me and Tuck like they’d drugged him with that Euphoria shit. He was fucking a woman.”

“Ah, man.” Jackson rubbed a hand across his mouth.

“It was Sadie Swallow and she looked drugged, too.” Everyone was getting riled up again. Race raised his hand to quiet them down. “There was a kid who barely looked old enough to shave in a cell next to him.”

“So we’re rescuing Darren and two more?” Trick asked.

Race looked around the table at each of them before he answered. “Yes. We’re taking them all out of there. We’ll sort the rest out later.”

“Sadie?” Chris leaned forward. “Does that mean Jed’s been made? Anyone hear from him?”

Race frowned. “Damn it. Should’ve thought of that. Can you step out and give him a call? If you get him, tell him we’ll be heading their way in the next three hours.”

Chris nodded his head and stepped out.

“How’s Kylie?” Maverick asked.

Tuck sighed heavily. “About as bad as you would expect.” At least something good came out of her meddling. They found out Darren was alive, if not completely well.

Chris returned with the news Jed had been made and was shot. It was a graze, but Tulsa fixed him up. He was also happyto hear they were finally making a move. He was not so happy to learn Sadie had been taken and drugged and thrown in with Darren.

“Okay. We have a general plan to work with. We’ll get all our families here and locked down while we’re gone. Once we meet up with the brothers in Taos, we’ll finalize our plans. One way or another, Darren is coming home.”

“What if he’s not in that building?” Trick asked.

“Storm the clubhouse and take out anyone there.”

“The whores?”

“Round them up and lock them in a closet.”
