Of course, now she’s sorry.
She was full of apologies now. I won’t lie and say I didn’t contemplate calling her back. The pictures she sent me? They had me dick hard. Old habits were hard to break.
As I slid into the driver’s seat, I looked over at Angel. She smiled at me, soft and real, like I was the only thing that mattered to her.
And just like that, my decision was easy.
Before putting my phone down, I scrolled to Keisha’s contact and hitblock.
Guess old habits weren’t so hard to break after all.
Chapter twenty one
The second I sank down on Cassius’ manhood, a rush of adrenaline hit me so hard it left me breathless. My thighs trembled as I gripped his chest for balance, and his low groan sent shivers through my body. His eyes fluttered open, still heavy with sleep. His hands gripped my hips, holding me steady, but I didn’t need him to guide me. I had full control.
“Ooh, if this how I’ll wake up every morning, I’m definitely moving in,” he groaned, his voice gravelly, still thick with sleep. I slammed my hand over his mouth, silencing him as I fucked myself faster. I was trying to get my nut real quick and fuck all day. The room filled with the sounds of our bodies slapping together. His eyes locked onto mine, filled with lust and something else I couldn’t name. I dropped my head back and closed my eyes. I didn’t want to do anything but feel.“Yes! Fuck yes!” I moaned as I clenched my walls around his dick and came with a loud muffled scream. My room started to spin and I saw little white stars all over. Every nerve in my body was tingling. Cassius wasn’t far behind me.
Afterward, the room was filled with nothing but the sound of our breathing, still heavy from what we’d just done. Cassius was stretched out beside me, his chest rising and falling like he didn’thave a care in the world. His eyes were barely open, fluttering shut like he was about to knock out.
Oh, hell no.
Sliding closer, I watched him for a moment, waiting for his next deep exhale. Then I leaned in quick and sank my teeth into his cheek, biting down just enough to make him jump.
“The fuck—” he yelped, jerking away and grabbing for me, his hand missing as I dodged out of reach.
He glared at me.
“Aht, aht, don’t be mad.” Cupping my breasts, I bit into my bottom lip. “You owe me food for what I let you do to me last night. You promised,” I teased.
The grin that crossed his face was so arousing. “You were nasty for letting me do that to you though,” he chuckled.
"And if you ever want to do it again, get up," I said, turning and walking away. I added extra bounce to my step so my ass would jiggle as I headed to the bathroom. Over the past month, I'd felt a new sense of confidence, and it showed.
I heard the bed creak behind me, knowing he was following.
In the bathroom, the warm water of the shower hit my skin, washing away the sweat and tension from the night before. We took our time soaping each other up, Cassius’ big hands running over every curve while I let my fingers trace the cuts of his chest. He kissed me softly between laughs, and the way he touched me made me feel safe. It felt good—too good. As much as I wanted to lean into it, a part of me wondered how long this happy phase would last.
Once we were clean, I slipped into a white sundress, my hair straight and flowing down my back. Cassius dressed in black chino shorts that showed off his muscular thighs and toned legs, paired with a baby blue button-up. He always looked so put together. It drove me crazy that women were always staring. I was working overtime to keep my insecurities at bay.
Just as we were about to leave, his phone rang.
“It’s Silas,” he said.
Who was Silas? I waited.
After a short conversation, he turned to me. “He wants to play ball. We can go to brunch after?”
I wasn’t mad. “Sure, I’d love to meet him,” I said with a smile.
Cassius looked relieved. “You’re great,” he said, as if he expected me to say no, kissing me on the mouth before going to change.
Music came on in the background, and he rapped along as he pulled on white basketball shorts, a white T-shirt, and his Jordans. “She said, ‘Boogie boy, stop bitchin', ho, I’m not your last.’”
I watched his defined back as he bounced around, rapping, while thinking about how many of his clothes had accumulated at my place—even before we were more than friends. I had never been to his house, and I was waiting for him to invite me. I shook that thought from my head and decided I’d change too. I slid into a bandage dress and a pair of Converse sneakers, pulling my hair up into a messy bun. I didn’t want to look out of place.
The morning sun was bright as hell when we arrived at the park in South St. Pete. About thirty people walked around the large basketball court. Little kids played on the playground. As we walked to the court, I felt a mix of excitement and nerves. Meeting his friends outside of Jonas and Naomi felt like a big step. It made me feel like we would be long-term. I knew it was too soon, but I really liked Cassius.
Cassius introduced me to Silas.
