Sterling slows down as we get closer to Mateo’s home. The mansion is in our sights. He lets two of the trucks containing my men overtake us as we go through with the attack plans.
They speed up and we follow closely behind them. My men start firing shots at the guards by the house when they get there.
Mateo’s men are caught unawares as the two outside drop dead with bullet wounds to their heads before they can even get their guns out. I’ll kill all of them if I have to.
My men jump out of the truck, running to the gate as more of Mateo’s men come out to inspect what’s happening.
The sound of gunshots fills the air as they begin to exchange fire. Vito, Sterling and I drop down behind the car as we rush into Mateo’s mansion.
My men have broken through the guards at the gate side and are now taking out the men positioned just outside the mansion in the compound.
Giovanni joins with his men as we press forward to the front door. He must be aware we are around now with all the noise of gunshots and groaning.
I take a clean shot at one of the men aiming a gun at me, sending a bullet through his chest before he gets the chance to take a shot first. Blood splatters as he falls down wounded, his shirt soaked with his own blood.
Vito takes out another who is shooting in our direction. Sterling and I take cover behind one of Mateo’s cars as Vito shoots at him. The multiple shots hit the man in both arms before Vito finally ends him with a bullet to the head.
He becomes distracted as he turns to look at us.
“You three!” I yell as another man aims at him. Sterling is quick, shooting him first, before he takes a shot at Vito.
“You better fucking stay alive,” I grunt at him.
I won’t be forced to go back home to tell my sister I lost him.
Giovanni is already by the front door as he grabs the guard by his shirt with his gun pointed to his abdomen in close range and kills him immediately. He pushes him to the ground, dead, with a hole through his shirt and body.
Vito and Sterling cover me as I, too, make my way to the front door.
I want to be the one to put a fucking bullet through Mateo’s head. He took what belongs to me and I’m going to make him fucking pay.
“It’s fucking locked,” Giovanni grunts as he pulls on the doorknob.
Where the fuck is Pietro? He was supposed to leave a door open for us. The slimy bastard!
Giovanni steps back as I point the gun to the doorknob and take a shot. The metal handle clicks from the impact. Giovanni pushes the door first to let himself in but it's blocked from the inside. They must have something blocking it.
“I’m going to make sure you fucking regret this, all of you,” a voice yells from inside the house. It’s Mateo.
Fucking bastard.
“Where is she?” I yell back.
I get no response but fucking silence from inside. He had better not fucking hurt Gianna or my child.
I’ll have his fingers chopped off slowly till he is begging for his death.
Giovanni continues pushing the door for a few more seconds before he steps back and starts to kick at it.
“Oh fuck,” I grunt as new trucks filled with men arrive. Mateo’s men. How did they fucking get here so fast?
“Giovanni! Duck!”
The men begin to spray shots in our direction, sending bullets flying in the air. Some of my men and Giovanni’s are caught in the fire as they drop to the ground, badly wounded. More bodies are scattered in the compound now and they aren’t only Mateo’s men.
Fuck! Fuck!
I pull Giovanni away from the door as I shoot back at Mateo’s men. He regains his balance and joins me as we shoot back at them, running away from the front door to take cover.
