“We’ll see. We’ll see,” I sing-song. “Now, don’t be difficult. Kiss and make up. You’re the best man, and Val is my maid of honor, and I don’t want to see any tension during the wedding.”

Their eyes meet across the room. Two different shades of blue measuring the other person up. I can feel the heat and sparks between them even from the distance.

The room is quiet while they stare at one another. I’m not sure how long it takes, but the silence and all this attitude and sparks closed in Sienna’s kitchen make me uncomfortable.

It’s important for me that my best friend and maid of honor gets along with my future brother-in-law because both of them will be in the picture for a long, long time. They can’t send nasty looks from across the room to each other every time they end up in the same room. All because of a little misunderstanding and boob grab.

Val points her finger in his direction. “You keep those grabby hands to yourself.”

Nate lets his gaze roam her body from head to toe. “Won’t be too difficult. I wouldn’t put my hands on you even if you took of your clothes and I was the horniest bastard on this planet without another girl in a hundred-mile radius.”

They frown at each other for a while longer and then Nate turns his back on her and walks to the backyard where the rest of the guys are.

Why do I have a feeling this is a disaster in making?
