“Your funeral.” He shakes his head, but I don’t stay to drown in his disappointment.
I’ve got places to be.

Jeanette
Asshole: 1 hour. My room.
Right, like that’s gonna happen. Fuming, I turn on the water stronger than necessary and end up splashing myself.
“Great,” I groan loudly. “Just great.”
The fucker says one thing and does something completely opposite. Oh, I saw him sitting on that love seat with one of his Hill-hoes. Everybody did.
Did you really think he’d change? Yeah, right.
Is it too much to expect a guy who wants something long-term with you, even without any strings attached, to give a fuck-off to everybody else? Is it? I don’t think so.
You think I’m getting attached? Don’t. I just don’t want to get an STD.
Grumbling, I take the towel and try to dry off when the door bursts open, then closes loudly.
Turning on the heels of my feet, I narrow my eyes at him.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
“You should consider locking the door.” He smirks, leaning against the surface like he has every right to be here. Which technically he does, but you get my point.
“I would if I didn’t know for a fact that the top floor is strictly off-limits to everybody.” I dab a few more times against the wet stain on my dress, not meeting his stare on purpose.
“Yet, you’re here.” He lifts his brow. “Why is that?”
Throwing the towel to the counter, I cross my arms over my chest. “I think we already established I’m noteverybody.”
Hetsks, shaking his head. “Are we back at it? I’d hoped we’d moved on. ‘Playboy’ does have a nice ring to it.”
“That isn’t a compliment,” I grit.
White teeth flash at me as a grin spreads over his lips. “I know, but it does sound endearing.”
Tilting my head back, I look at the ceiling, inhaling deeply and praying for patience. This guy will drive me crazy and bring the grays to my hair before I leave high school.
“You see, you’re not even denying it.”
“Because there’s no point. It wouldn’t get through your thick skull anyway.”
As soon as the words leave my mouth, I know I made a huge mistake. His grin turns wicked. “My skull isn’t the only thick thing about me, baby.”
“No, your ego is even thicker.”
He throws his head back and laughs. A full belly laugh. It’s deep and husky, and I can feel it in my bones.
“Only you.” He shakes his head as he takes a step toward me. “Only you.”
“What only me?”
“Only you can give me a figurative kick to the nuts and make me hard at the same time.”
