The whole concept feels foreign, yet my skin buzzes with anticipation.

His eyes lower to my lips before they return to mine.

A flash of white teeth, and then he’s kissing me.

And it’s like nothing I’ve ever felt before.

Soft, almost tender, he nibbles at my lip playfully.

My fingers dig into the soft material of his dress shirt as I lean into him, getting on the tips of my toes to be closer to him.

Our lips mash together, sliding slowly.

He pulls my lower lip in his mouth, sucking softly.

I moan, my lips parting and letting his tongue slide in.

Hot, wet, sensual, his touch makes me beg for more.

Just as soon as it began, the contact breaks. He pulls away, and with one final, close-mouthed kiss, he takes a step back.

“You’re shivering.” His hands slide up and down my arms in an attempt to make me feel warmer.

“Just a bit.”

“Let’s get back inside, or you really will catch pneumonia and your brother reallywillkill me then.”

“Max!” I turn around dumbfounded, as if I'm expecting to see him jump out of the frozen bushes or something.

“Somebody stopped him from coming after me.”

“I’m not sure if that’s a blessing or a curse.”

Andrew’s hands wrap around me, pushing me back in the direction of the country club.

“Either way, he knows you’re with me.”

She looks over her shoulder at me. “He thinks you’re not good enough. Too broken, just like me.”

“Maybe he’s right.” He takes the baggy out of his back pocket and starts rolling a joint.

“He thinks you’ll hurt me. Fuck me up beyond repair.”

The sharp flame of the lighter illuminates the night.

“How can I break something that’s already been broken?”

His words should make me feel at ease, but they don’t because a small voice at the back of my head gives me the answer I don’t want to hear.

You put it together, only to break it apart. This time, beyond repair.

Andrew

Princess: Stop staring at me. People are starting to notice. M is starting to notice!

I chuckle lightly, not able to hold it in as I type back quickly.

“Who’re you texting, dude?”
