“Blake, I can…”

“No.” I shake my head. “You love that house. It’s your grandmother’s house, the house you grew up in.” I brush my lips against her forehead. “We’ll figure it out.”

“Thank you.”

Savannah tugs me down, her mouth sweeping over mine. Letting out a soft groan, I move closer, our bodies brushing together. Goosebumps prickle her skin as my fingers spread, my grip tightening as I tilt her head back and deepen the kiss.

My tongue slides over my lower lip, tasting the saltiness of her tears. Then she opens for me, letting out a soft moan as her tongue meets mine, teasing and swirling.

And fuck, I’m a goner for this woman. Completely and utterly gone.

“Blake,” she moans softly, her warm breath brushing against my lips as she breaks the kiss. “I?—”

“Yeah?”

I blink my eyes open, and her gorgeous face comes into focus. Her cheeks are pink, lips parted, as she tries to catch her breath.

“Let’s go find the boys and?—”

I take a step back, but she clenches her fingers around mine, squeezing them tightly. “I can’t.”

My brows pull together. “What?”

Then I notice that one of her hands is pressed against the side of her belly. Her brows furrow, but she forces out a smile. “I think I’m in labor.”

Holy shit.

I run my fingers over my face. “It’s too early. You still have a few weeks to go.”

“I know that, but apparently, this little one doesn’t care.”

“What’s going on?”

I look up to find Daniel and Levi watching us.

The corner of my mouth lifts up. “The baby’s coming.”

CHAPTER FORTY-ONE

SAVANNAH

“Where do you want this?” Blake asks as he and Daniel carry the tree into the living room, the smell of pine already filling the space.

“Can you put it over there?”

I watch as the two of them maneuver the tree into the corner of the room, cursing every time they get stuck or bump into something before they finally manage to place it on the floor.

“You know, they have fake trees, right?” Daniel asks, dusting his palms off.

“You did not!” I gasp loudly.

“What?” He shrugs. “They’re the same, only they’re way easier to manage, and they don’t make such a mess.”

“No way.” I shake my head, not believing the words leaving his mouth. “They’re most certainly not the same. Inhale.”

Daniel’s brows furrow as he glances between Blake and Levi. “What?”

“Inhale. Do you smell that?”
