I was also upset with Sebastian for agreeing with my father, even agreeing with the use of the pills that he hated. But Sebastian had his ways. Ways of making me no longer upset with him.
And he was so good at his ways.
I had spent most of my time in the library since the conversation with my father, trying to learn every bit ofinformation I could about the Sun Realm. I had very limited knowledge before because the only books in the Mountain Realm that mentioned the Sun Realm were the ones about the creation of Alentara and the Phoenix Massacre.
Sebastian had cases of books about the Sun Realm brought in, and he had spent every day with me in the library, combing through the books for anything interesting.
Our nights were spent in my room, with minimal sleeping.
“The achluos are a very small group that take fae form most of the time but are spies that are able to hide in the shadows because, well, they become the shadows. And because they can go completely undetected, they are sent to the other realms.”
“So that’s how you got your gift of shadow manipulation.”
He grinned as he looked back down at the book he was looking through.
He could probably tell me anything I wanted to know about the Sun Realm, but he knew how much I enjoyed books, so he seemed to be humoring me.
“I bet not knowing what an achluo was has been eating you alive,” he said.
“I have looked through every book in here and nothing,” I replied. Ever since he told me his mother was an achluo, I had tried to figure out what exactly she was, as I had never heard of that term before.
“They are spies. There is knowledge of them, there are rumors about them, but there is no proof that they do what they do. That would cause a little upset among the realms, don’t you think?”
I let out a sigh. “I wish I had thought about that. It would’ve saved me a lot of time.”
Sebastian laughed as he walked over to my side of the table and pushed all of the books onto the floor. He picked me up andsat me on the edge of the table before running his hand up my thigh.
“What if someone comes in?” I asked as I glanced at the open doors of the library.
“Then they’ll be up for a show.”
“Sebastian!” I said, pushing his hand off my thigh.
He started trailing kisses up my neck and when he got to my ear, he whispered, “I’ll know long before they are close enough to hear you, let alone see you.”
I let go of his hand, allowing it to return to my thigh, and tilted my head back.
He kissed his way down my neck, down my chest, and when he got to the top of my breast, he bit down. I let out a yelp, and he chuckled as he continued his way down.
He pulled up the bottom of my dress as he continued to lower himself until he was on his knees.
As he started to duck under my dress, I grabbed his hair in one hand to push him back and pushed my dress down with the other.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“I’m . . .” he looked at me, confused, “you’ve never . . .” The confusion left his face and his eyes darkened. “Oh, you’ve been neglected, love,” he said as he quickly ducked back under my dress before I could react.
He licked my inner thigh, slowly moving closer and closer to a part of me that had never felt a mouth before.
My heart began racing at the thought of what could possibly be coming.
He ripped my panties off before burying his face in me. I let out a loud moan before clasping my hand over my mouth.
As if he knew what I had done, he reached his hand up, grabbed mine, and forced it back on the table.
He pulled his mouth away from me, causing me to inch farther off the table.
I needed more.
