She hasn’t seen him yet, but he stands and watches her for far too long.
Of course, even ten seconds is too long in my mind.
I decide there’s no reason to turn this into another confrontation like in the town square and I might as well cut this off before it turns into anything.
That’s my girlfriend, and if I want to go over and dance with her, I will.
I push off my tailgate, and cross to Harlow. I move in behind her, resting my hands on her swaying hips.
She immediately presses back against me, clearly not upset to have me there. Not seeming surprised either.
I put my mouth to her ear. “I realized that after all those times just watching you, this time I can join in.”
“You could’ve joined in before,” she says, snaking her arm up and draping it around my neck as our bodies sway together. That causes her body to arch enticingly, and I cannot keep my hand from running from her hip up her side to the lower curve of her breast and down again.
“Could I?” I ask. “Really? I don’t think we were there before tonight.”
She turns her head to look up at me. God, I would only have to lean in a few inches to kiss her.
“Are we there tonight?” she asks.
“If ‘there’ is me getting my hands all over you, pressing up against you, doing this—” I bend and drag my mouth from her ear down the column of her throat to her collarbone where I nip lightly. Under the music and conversation around us, I hear her moan. “Then yes, this is where we are tonight,” I finish.
“I like being there with you then,” she says tipping her head to the side slightly, a clear invitation to put my mouth on more of her sweet, silky skin. “But you’re right, we weren’t before.”
My hands grip her hips a little tighter as I place a kiss on her neck. “Something’s changed.”
She straightens and turns in my arms. She links both hands behind my neck, pressing her entire body along mine. My hands move from her hips to her ass.
“Yeah, something’s changed.”
“I don’t think you’ve had too much to drink. Am I right?” I ask, wanting to be sure this isn’t fueled by liquor.
She shakes her head. “I’ve been careful. One beer.”
“Careful?” I ask.
“I didn’t want to give you a reason to say no.”
Lust licks down my spine and I feel my cock hardening. “Say no to what, Harlow? Be specific.”
A playful smile teases her lips. “To making out at a bonfire with me.”
“You want to make out with me at a bonfire?”
“I really do.”
It’s high school stuff, but even the couples our age still find it fun to flirt and tease and make out a little at these bonfire parties. For Harlow and me though, this is all brand new. And it will lead to more.
“I’ve only got one chair. If we were going to go sit down, we’d have to share.”
“And I’m just wearing this little sundress. If we were going to go sit down, we’d probably need a blanket. It might get chilly.”
“I don’t think there’s gonna be anything chilly about us sitting together under a blanket on my lawn chair,” I tell her.
She grins up at me. “Big talker.”
I slide my hand up her back and into her hair. I tug slightly, tipping her head back. “There’s lots of big when it comes to me, Harlow.”
