“Maybe?” She laughs. “Still need to figure out how we get the hell out of here, though.”

“I have an apartment upstairs. Don’t even have to go outside. No one will ever know we’re there.”

“You’re telling me you had access to a bed this whole time?”

“You telling me that this wasn’t hot as fuck, and you want to do it again sometime?”

“Touché.”

I pull her up into my arms, bridal style, and walk to the stairs at the back of the garage.

“What about our clothes?”

“I’ll grab them later. I have something you can wear for now.” I don’t stop walking until we’re in the apartment and I flip on a light switch. “Living and kitchen, bedroom behind that door, and bathroom.”

I step into the small room and sit her on the sink. I turn on the shower and grab two towels out of the closet.

“This is nice for an over a garage apartment.”

“It’s not big, and probably needs to be updated, but it suits my needs when I forget to stop working or one of the guys doesn’t feel good or needs a place to crash.”

“Never thought we’d be the ones who needed a place to crash.”

“Yeah, not like this anyway. Let’s get in the shower and check in with Joker and see what’s going on.”

“We’re showering together?” Mia raises her brow at me, a knowing glint in her eye.

“Yup. We are.”

“How’s the water heater in this place? Because you know damn good and well that we can’t just shower.”

“It’s a big one. Now get in there so I can dirty you up a little bit more before I clean you off.”

She giggles and hops down from her perch, sashaying that perfect ass by me on her way into the shower. Fuck, she’s perfect. And she’s mine.

CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

TEXT MESSAGES FROM EVERYONE

THE GIRLS

Grace: Well, this is interesting.

Mia: What?

Grace: Your replacement bartender is here.

Mia: Who is it?

Sofie: It’s Grady.

Mia: WHAT?!?!?

Nola: Oh, yeah. He’s slinging drinks like it’s his day job.

Sofie: Yeah, he is.

Mia: No man-handling the bartender!
