“Right.” He straightens as his hand drops to his lap. “I should take you home.”
“Yeah.” I nod and climb off his lap and onto the passenger seat. I shake my head. “I can call an Uber if you’d rather not take me home.”
He twists the ignition. “Don’t be ridiculous. I live ten minutes from your place. It wouldn’t make sense for me to leave you waiting here for 20 to 30 minutes for a ride when I can drop you off on the way home.”
“Thanks.” Crap. My pants are still unzipped. As I fasten them and snap on my seatbelt, Dominic drills his fingertips on the steering wheel. I should’ve never done this. Things were awkward between us before. Now, they’ll be unbearable.
He’s seen my O face. Heat travels up my neck and across my face. Even my armpits are sweating.
As he pulls out of the parking lot, I stare at the parked vehicles and oncoming traffic. What was I thinking? I’ll never be able to look him in the eyes again. I groan and smack the back of my head against the headrest. The buzz is gone, and reality has hit.
****
The pickup rocks forward, jerking me from my sleep. I lurch upright and survey my surroundings. Dominic’s pickup. My driveway. Please tell me I didn’t snore. Or drool.
“Sorry. I didn’t mean to surprise you.” He stares straight ahead at the garage. The pickup is still running but he’s cut the lights to keep from waking everyone up.
“It’s fine.” I bite my bottom lip as my heart thunders in my ears.
He turns to face me. “I realize this has strained our relationship more than it already was. That wasn’t my intention.”
“What was your intention?” Oh, my God, did I say that? What do I expect him to say, ‘I’ve been in love with you for years?’ Please, he’s going to stab you in the heart by saying, ‘I was looking to cop a free feel, and you were horny. It was fun, but it was a mistake.’
He sits there for a second, not saying anything. The house is pitch black, so thankfully, no one will be witness to my humiliation. I grab the door handle. “Thank you for the ride.” And the amazing orgasm.
“Don’t go.”
“What do you mean?” I drop my hand into my lap.
“I wanted to be with you tonight, and it surpassed every expectation I had.” He smiles weakly. “Thank you for an amazing ending to my night.”
No one is up. There are no lights on at our closest neighbor’s house. I lick my lips. “It was phenomenal. I’ve never had an orgasm like that.” Woah. I may still have a tad too much alcohol going through my veins.
“What do you mean, like that?”
I shrug. “Like with another person.”
He closes his eyes and swallows hard. “I don’t think I wanted to know that.”
“I’m sorry.” I grip the door handle again.
“I don’t mean it like you’re taking it. Knowing that no one has taken the time to please you, makes me angry. And….” His voice deepens. “Knowing that I’m the only person who’s seen this side of you makes me crazy.”
He tightens his grip on the steering wheel. If it was alive, it wouldn’t be breathing. I want to have that level of insanity–all over me. I shudder forcefully.
“Come inside with me.” I grab the keys and turn off the ignition.
“Come again?”
I giggle. “You heard me, and yes, I’d love to come again. My parents are asleep. The lights are out. You know they sleep upstairs with two fans on, so they aren’t going to hear anything.”
“I’m not sure I can be quiet when I’m with you.”
“That is the hottest thing I’ve ever heard,” I whimper as his words flow over me. Please, let him say yes. “All I ask is that you try to do your best to keep quiet because after the amazing attention to detail you gave me, the least I could do is return the favor.”
“And that’s the hottest thing anyone has ever said to me.” He drops his hands from the steering wheel, and they ball into fists on his lap. The level of restraint that he’s using to keep his hands off me has my panties coated in desire.
I snap open the door, causing the interior light to come on and meet his gaze. His eyes swim with lust. “Come inside now before I yank your pants down and ride you right here. I promise it’ll feel much better with more room.”
