“Oh! Good idea!” I say. “Then I can just burn the comforter.”
Logan kisses my head, then gently slaps me on the ass. “You think of ideas for that. I’m going to go back downstairs and distract her with my accent and compliment her on her cooking.”
“Kiss-up.”
He just shrugs and leans in to kiss me on the nose. “Correction. People pleaser.”
I wrap my arms around him, but as soon as I do, I hear footsteps coming from outside the door. “I love you.”
He rests his forehead against mine. “Not nearly as much as I love you.”

I did it.
I fucking did it.
I have an idea.
And not just any game idea.Thegame idea. One I know is going to be successful, marketable, and profitable. And not just that, I’m going to enjoy the hell out of developing this.
And it’s all thanks to Maeve and Jayce.
“Whoa!” Kat says as she walks into my office. “Why am I having déjà vu?”
I don’t look up from my computer as she comes walking over to my desk. “Probably because I haven’t slept and I’ve lost track of times you’ve found me in one of these situations.”
“Yeah. It’s called a month ago,” she says. “But this is different. You look…happy?”
“Not just happy. Bloody thrilled,” I say, my fingers flying across the keyboard. “I fucking did it.”
“Did what?” It takes Kat a second of silence to realize what “it” is. “Holy shit! You figured out a game!”
“Not only did I figure it out, but I have basic specs, the story, and a few character mockups.”
“Fuck yes!” Kat celebrates, running around my desk to give me a hug. “I’m so proud of you. I knew you could do it.”
“Thanks,” I say, returning her gesture. “I was starting to get worried.”
“Honestly? Same.” We share a laugh as she steps away. “So? Are you going to tell me what it is?”
“Tell you what what is?”
Good, Maeve’s now in here so I can tell my two favorite women together. “The game I came up with.”
Maeve’s eyes quit blinking for a second before she lets out a screech of excitement. “Oh my God! You did it!”
Maeve runs over to me and nearly tackles me in my desk chair. Wow, I didn’t know she could get this excited.
Well, this kind of excited.
“Is this why you got up in the middle of the night and I hadn’t seen you since?”
“Yeah, sorry about that,” I say as she takes a seat next to Kat in my newly furnished, and might I say, quite posh, office. “But I woke up in the middle of the night, and for some reason, that was the time my brain turned on. I didn’t want to take the risk it would be gone by morning.”
I didn’t just wake up in the middle of the night; I shot up from a dead slumber. I don’t know if it came to me in a dream or what, but one second I’m holding Maeve’s naked body against mine, and the next I’ve come up with the idea that will no doubt be the next big thing in video games.
