I fill her in and Louisa’s reaction is much the same as Clarissa’s.
“You are one lucky bitch. I’ll give you that.” She says, jealously lacing her words, and she shakes her head.
“Enjoy it while it lasts and please tell me you’ve had sex and if so, I want all the gory details. That man has starred in too many of my fantasies and I want all the dirty deets.”
I say nothing but my smirk answers for me and as Henrietta flops down in the seat beside me, Clarissa hisses. “We need all the details, and I’m calling an emergency meeting tonight at my house.”
“I’m busy.”
I giggle at the jealous expressions all around me and Hen sighs. “I wish I was your kind of busy. Way to go, Clara, you’ve scored a home run.”
The guys glance over and Jerome says, “What’s up?”
“Nothing.” We all say at once and then giggle again, causing the guys to roll their collective eyes.
Michael says nothing but stares at the scene with a thoughtful expression and then Grady turns to him and says, “If you fancy it, a group of us are heading to the game tonight. You’re welcome to join us.”
“Sure.”
Thankfully, we are now off the topic of my love life and as I settle back in the chair, a warm feeling spreads through me when I picture exactly who I will be doing tonight. In fact, I can’t wait and I wasn’t kidding earlier. I meant what I said. I will fight for my right to date whoever I want, and my parents are not standing in my way.
CHAPTER 16
ATOM
Imeet Clara on the edge of her street as before and when I see her, my heart jumps a mile. She is gorgeous. Even more so than normal, because now she is officially mine.
“Hey.” I smile as she bounds up to me and slings her arms around my neck, pulling my mouth to hers with an urgency I like.
For quite some time we kiss with a desperation we both apparently share and when we finally come up for air, she whispers huskily, “I want to go to your house.”
I can’t help laughing out loud.
“Are you sure about that, darlin’? I thought it was customary to take a girl out for dinner first.”
“We can grab takeout. I don’t want to waste a minute of our time.”
“Sounds good to me.”
I hurry in starting the bike and as she slides behind me and her arms hold me tight, all is right with my world.
I push away what Razor spoke about. Her actions have reassured me far more than words and I won’t bring it up. I’mthe jealous type when it matters, and Clara has given me no reason to be—yet, anyway.
We head to my home, and as Tanya is out for the night, we have the place to ourselves.
As soon as we head inside, Clara drops her jacket and grins wickedly.
“I’ve thought of nothing but this all day. Can we just go to bed and eat later?”
“That’s fine by me.”
I reach for her, swinging her into my arms and kissing her with a fierce intensity that shocks me. I want her. I always have and after what happened last night, I already can’t get enough of her.
We stumble into my bedroom and as I lower her onto the bed, my heart beats erratically because I want to make this count. Every single time I touch her, I want to make it count and as I ease off her clothing, I delight in the soft curves of a body that was created for my pleasure.
She shivers with expectation as I tear off my t-shirt and drop my jeans, her eyes feasting hungrily on my flexing muscles.
“You’re in great shape, Atom,” she says with admiration and I gaze at her body with lust and say huskily, “I can say the same about you.”
