My phone chimes with a text, and Ijump.

Andy:Any chance you’re ready?LOL

Me:Now?

Andy:Yes?I’m…

Me:You’re…

Andy:Excited. Does that make me sound like acreeper?

Me:I’m ready when youare.

Andy:Good. Be ready. Want you next tome.

“By the smile on your face, I assume that wasAndy?”

I bite my lip and nod, smiling at Bri. “He wondered if I wasready.”

She throws her head back and laughs. “Not surprised. I don’t know who’s more obsessed with who, you or him. Have fun, Mom. You deserve this,” she says, hugging metightly.

“Do you think it was part of the plan?” I askquietly.

“Absolutely.”

Tears prick the back of my eyelids as I rest my head on his shoulder, feeling more content than I have in… well, ever. Being with Andy feels likehome.

The song comes to an end, fading into another love song. This one about both knowing our own limitations and needing each other. He rests his forehead onmine.

“Thank you,” hewhispers.

“For?”

“Beingmine.”

I blow out a breath and glance away before looking at him again. “Am I?Yours?”

“You are,” he says, voice firm. “Just as much as I’myours.”

“I like the sound ofthat.”
