“You couldn’t payme to go back to college. My brain is not made for higher learning.”

“Oh man. Me either. Ialmostflunked my chem class. Science-minded, I am not. I barely squeaked by with a D-. Owen made fun of me for months, saying he got all the science smarts and I got none.”

I chuckle. “Science wasn’t my thing, either. I never got that close to failing, because I’m not a complete tool, but still I didn’t like it.”

“Ha! Ha. Ha. Ha. You’re so funny I almost forgot to laugh.”

“If it makes you feel any better, I took four years of French and don’t remember a single word.”

“That actually does make me feel better.”

“That’s what I’m here for.”

“I was presenting a project in front of my English class and farted.”

“No.”

“Oh yeah. Loudly, too. I just kept talking, like nothing had happened but everyone heard it. Then I did it again during a volleyball game. It was horrible. The sound practically echoed off the gym floor.”

“I bet that sucked. Did everyone make fun of you?”

“What do you think? I still won’t eat baked beans because of it. Stupid musical fruit.”

“Liv?”

“Yeah?”

“I won’t judge you for your extreme flatulence. Fart around me all you need to.”
