“Yeah,” he agrees.
“I want you to come with me, Leah. Come.”
He didn’t need to demand it. I was already on my way there. My orgasm rips through me and he follows, a guttural roar with my name on his lips as he empties himself inside me.
We lie together, still connected and breathing heavily. Sweaty and satiated.
“Wow,” I finally manage to say.
“You can say that again. Probably too late to ask if I should have used a condom.”
I smile at the ceiling. “We’re good. I trust you but also have an IUD.”
“Well, that’s good news.”
I giggle and he raises up on his hands to look down at me, a blinding smile covering his face.
His eyes shine with happiness before he kisses me once more.
He shifts off of me, and I almost cry at the loss of him.
After cleaning up in the bathroom, I slip my panties back on and find his discarded shirt to wear.
He’s lying on the bed when I return and when he catches sight of me, his eyes heat once again.
“Like you wearing my shirt, sweetheart.”
I grin and slip into bed with him. He pulls me close and cuddles me, my head resting on his chest and his chin on top of my head.
I kiss his collarbone and he sighs.
“I wish you could stay the night,” he murmurs. “Something tells me I’d like waking up to you in my arms.”
I give him a squeeze, wishing that, also. The fact that I don’t have to explain why I can’t do that tonight makes me even happier in this moment. I have responsibilities at home. And since Corbin Rae and Cash are home, that means they’ll be there as well as Brock and Boone.
“Soon. We’ll make it happen,” he promises.
“Soon.”
“It never felt like that for me, Leah.”
I give him my eyes and a small smile. “Me either.”
“Wish I would have gotten the balls to ask you out sooner.”
“I’d say it was perfect timing.”

STONE
Brock:Well, Mom has a smile on her face this morning so I guess we don’t need to have words.
I bark out a laugh at the text from Brock.
Me:Glad to hear it. But did you seriously have any doubts?
Brock:No, but what kind of son would I be if I didn’t at least question you?
