"Fuckkkkk!" I roar in pleasure, pulsing inside her and filling her completely.
As we ride out the last few moments of bliss, I gently brush my lips along her jaw, savoring the connection for as long as possible.
My hands cradle her face as I hover above her. My cock slides out and rests against her thigh, and I know we've made a beautiful fucking mess, but I can't bear to pull away from her lips.
"Will you stay with me?"
"Tonight?"
I shake my head at her, knowing exactly what I want and refusing to waste another second. "Tonight, tomorrow, forever."
"What?" She laughs, and I hear the slight shock in her voice, yet I feel calmer and more at peace than I have in a long time. The chaos in my mind is overshadowed by how much I love this girl.
"School's out, so we don't have to hide, and I can support us until you find a job or decide what you want to do."
She looks up at me, her fingers slowly moving through my hair as her lips curve into a smile. "I've already got a job," shesays, practically bursting with happiness. "I've wanted to tell you about it since I was offered it." I watch her, mesmerized by the way her face lights up. "It's only an internship, but it's at a publishing house, and after looking into their company and what they do, I think I'm going to be happy there."
I press my lips to her forehead, then to the tip of her nose. "I'm so proud of you, sweetheart."
"It's only part-time, so money will be a little tight, but it's here, so I don't have to relocate," she explains as I lie beside her, propping myself up on my elbow. Her hand finds its way to my face. She traces the outline of my jaw with her fingers before running her palm across my cheek. "Not that I could ever leave here now that I've got you back."
"Hey, the job could've been halfway across the world, and I would've followed you. I can work anywhere, so you never need to worry about that." As she breaks her gaze away from me, I can tell something's wrong. "What is it?"
"What if we can't be together in the real world? We only know how to hide."
"You think I need to hold your hand in public to know you're the one? I don't," I tell her firmly. She furrows her brows slightly, listening to my words carefully. "I've loved you in this house that only feels like a home when you're in it, and I've loved you out there when I couldn't show the world that you're mine. You're everything to me, Tessa. You always will be."
Her soft lips meet mine, and she whispers, "I'll stay."
"Forever?"
"Forever."
Chapter 52
Tessa
Icouldn't leave Jen and Harry stranded, so I gave them a month's notice that I would be moving out of the house and into Zane's place. Zane, however, wasn't particularly thrilled with that decision, but I needed to make sure that nothing between us would change. I needed a month of normalcy with him. I needed to know that we could really do this, and now I feel dumb for ever having any concerns because being with him is the easiest thing in the world.
And now our adventure begins.
Just him, me, and our once upon a time.
Every day, I'll be waking up with a man who sets my soul on fire.
A man I don't think I will ever finish falling in love with.
When I pull up to Zane's house, I get out of my car and head toward the bright red Audi that followed me here and has just parked up next to me. As I approach, I hear a low whistle and turn to see Tobias stepping out of the car—a gift from his dad,and when I say gift, I mean bribe—that he could've said no to but didn't.
"Nice place, Blondie. I can see why you fucked around with him."
"I know you can see he has more to offer than that. Even you're threatened by him."
"Okay, don't push it." He twirls me in a circle and rests his hands on my shoulders.
"Now move your ass, or I'm not helping you."
I decided to take a few days off work to move my stuff over to Zane's place.
