"A mistake I won't be making again."
Yeah, I'm not feeling that answer.
"Where are you?" I ask her.
"What?" I hear a distant voice in the background, but the words are clear, and I catch every single one.
"Yo, Tessa, there you are. Come and drink some shots with us. Tobias wants to lick salt off your stomach."
As a wave of possessiveness washes over me, I close my eyes and strain my neck in frustration.
"Just a minute," she calls back, now only a few moments away from having another guy's mouth on her body. Jealousy ripples through me, and I'm all out of fucks to give when it comes to hiding it.
"Who the hell is Tobias?"
"A friend."
"A friend who licks salt from your body before cleaning tequila off your chest? I got the impression you weren't much of a party girl."
"What's the problem, Professor? You jealous?"
"You have no fucking idea, sweetheart." I can't give her much, but I will always try to give her my truth. "Have you been drinking?"
"What do you think?" I want to call her a brat and tell her that the moment I get her on her knees, I'm going to shut her brave little mouth up with my cock. Not only that, but she'll love every single second of it. However, I soften my approach instead.
"Are you having fun or wishing you could be somewhere else because I don't think this is really you, Tessa?"
"Maybe not, but I'm doing something I should've been doing since I startedcollege."
"Like what?"
"Like spending the night with my friends and hopefully ending it with a guy I can actually have." Frustration overwhelms me asI drag my hand over my face, knowing that tonight, she won't have the option to be with anyone else but me.
Shewillremain untouched, aching for me and me alone.
"Just because I can't be with you doesn't mean anyone else gets to, and when something belongs to me, it's mine. So, tell me, Tessa, where the hell are you?" I ask her a second time.
"I'm sorry for contacting you. I shouldn't have done it."
"Don't you dare.We need to talk, so give me the address, and I'll be there when you're ready to leave."
"I'll give it to you, but I don't expect you to show." She cuts me off, and I grow impatient, waiting for the address. Instead, she sends me her location, and an air of calm flows through me as I regain some control of the situation.
Chapter 17
Tessa
Ithink I just made a massive mistake by sending him my location.
Why am I even assuming he'll show up here?
I slide my phone into my pocket and turn to walk over to my friends, but instead, I collide with a solid wall of muscle, causing me to reach out to restore my balance. When I look up, I'm met by eyes bluer and brighter than the ocean and a smirk dripping with sex.
"Of course it’s you." I laugh, poking Tobias in the chest and forcing him to take a small step back.
"You, me, and a line of salt are needed in the kitchen."
"You're not coming anywhere near me with your tongue!" I laugh, and he throws his hands up in surrender, a gesture that he and Erik seem to share, but then he looks closer at me.
