I would have to rub one out in the shower to make it through the night without a hard-on.

After dinner, we decided to watch one of the theater productions. That night, the show was a light-hearted take on Shakespeare’sA Midsummer Night’s Dream.

“How do they do that?” Adele asked with awe as we exited the amphitheater.

I chuckled. “Years of practice, I’m sure.”

“That was just incredible. I’ve never seen anything like it. The acrobatics alone were amazing, not to mention the acting and dancing.”

I gazed down at her as we walked. She was wearing a strapless blue dress that barely grazed her mid-thigh. I had no doubt that she was the most gorgeous woman on the ship. “I’m glad you enjoyed it.”

“They seem so carefree,” she stated with a sigh. “I wish I could be that way.”

A grin curved my lips as an idea popped into my head. “I have an idea.”

Her brows furrowed as I grabbed her hand and led her to the closest elevator. “What?”

“You’ll see.”

I towed Adele behind me as I entered the elevator and pressed the button for the second-highest deck. “Where are we going, Cohen?”

“You’ll see,” I repeated, unable to keep the teasing smirk off my face.

When the elevator stopped and opened, we got off, and I led Adele outside onto the deck.

I’d researched the ship extensively when Cara and I had been planning. We’d watched several virtual tours, looked at hundreds of photos and reviews, and studied the various deck plans.

So I knew that there was a grassy area on the deck that would probably be empty that late at night.

And I was right. There was no one around, and my plan was slowly coming to fruition.

“What is this place, Cohen?” Adele asked, looking around curiously.

“Well, during the day, they have different activities all over these lawns; croquet, bocce ball, and other lawn games. But right now, it’s our very own dance floor,” I said, gesturing to the open space around us. “And the night sky is our only audience.”

Adele arched a brow, a smile teasing the corner of her lips. “You want to dance with me out here, right now?”

I extended my hand, bowing to her. “If you would do me the pleasure.”

She scoffed, her face flushing. “But there’s no music.”

Luckily, I’d thought of that as I’d formed my plan on the elevator ride up. I straightened, taking out my phone. I quickly brought up one of my music apps and chose a classical music station. “Voilà.”

Adele shook her head with a laugh. “Who are you, Cohen James?”

I loved it when she said my name. Extending my hand again, I arched a brow. “Do you want to find out?”

Her only reply was a coy smile as she took my hand. I pulled her body into mine and started to sway to the melody, placing one hand on her hip as I held her hand with the other.

We danced in silence for a few moments as Adele took everything in. The stars seemed brighter against the darkness of the sky and ocean so far from land, and it was breathtaking.

“It’s beautiful out here,” Adele murmured as she gazed over my shoulder. “I can’t even tell where the sky ends, and the water begins. Both seem endless out here.”

I pulled her closer. “Kind of puts things into perspective, doesn’t it? About how massive the world is and how small we are in comparison.”

She nodded. “Definitely. Who knows what’s out there that we haven’t even discovered yet. I can’t even imagine all the marine life beneath us or even how deep the ocean floor is.”

I smiled down at her. “I bet that career in marine biology really sounds exciting now. Just imagine what you could uncover in your research.”
