Adele and I spent the first sea day in our suite having sex, only stopping to order room service and nap between sessions. She was almost as insatiable as I was, and I couldn’t get enough of her.
I was starting to worry that cutting things off once the cruise was over was going to be more difficult than I’d thought. We had a great time together, and I hadn’t been that happy since Cara had died.
Maybe we can keep in touch as friends afterward or even friends with benefits.
I briefly considered sitting down and talking with Adele about our expectations for what was happening between us. Still, I didn’t want to ruin the passion and connection we had with a confusing discussion.
Some things were better left unsaid.
Adele wanted to participate in some of the scheduled activities on the second sea day, so we paused our sexcapades to explore the ship.
One of the activities that stood out to both of us was a glassblowing class, so we decided to check it out.
The hot glass class was on deck fifteen, so we hopped in an elevator and went up to that floor, which happened to be where I’d kissed Adele for the first time. A smirk curved my lips as the memory played in my mind.
The area where the class was held reminded me of a modern-day blacksmith’s shop. There were a couple of different ovens, along with glassblowing tools and finished products displayed on tables.
We signed up for the next available class, then wandered around the deck to kill time. As we walked past the bocce ball area, Adele asked, “Do you know how to play that?”
I nodded. “Yeah. Do you?”
She shook her head. “No. Can you teach me?”
I grinned, swelling with pride. “Sure.”
I led her into the bocce ball court, where there were two sets of colored balls; one red, one blue. There was also a smaller yellow ball, which I picked up and held out to Adele. “This is the pallino, which is essentially the target. We’ll toss it onto the court, and then we have to try to roll our balls as close to the pallino in order to score. Whoever scores the most points wins that frame and resets the court to start the next frame. The first to score thirteen points wins.”
“Sounds easy enough,” Adele commented as she rolled the pallino in her hands. “Like horseshoes and bowling mixed. Who’s first?”
I gestured to the court. “Ladies first.”
Adele tossed the pallino onto the court, then picked up one of the red balls. I pointed at the foul line. “You have to stay behind that line.”
“I figured,” she said with a chuckle. She took a few steps, then rolled her ball toward the pallino. Her ball rolled within a couple of feet of it.
“Not bad.” I picked up a blue ball and tossed it in the air, then caught it as I stepped up next to her. “Oh, and by the way, you can knock your opponent’s balls out of the way.”
Aiming for her ball, I rolled mine. They connected, but I moved hers closer to the target, not farther from it.
She laughed. “Thanks for the help.”
I smirked. “Still have three more shots; we’ll see who the winner is.”
Since I was farther away from the pallino, I had to throw my next three balls in succession, then Adele would have her turn. On my second roll, I focused on getting closer to the pallino rather than hitting Adele’s ball to move it away.
I did the same with my third ball, but I aimed for Adele’s ball on my last roll, hoping to clip it on the side and send it spiraling away at an angle.
My ball collided with hers and did as I’d intended, although it didn’t send hers as far as I’d wanted.
“You’re going to pay for that,” Adele playfully threatened as she picked up her next ball. “I thought going last was a disadvantage, but I think I was wrong. I’m able to see exactly what I need to beat and plan out a strategy.”
I shrugged even though I also felt that the team going second had an advantage. I didn’t want her to get too confident. “If you say so.”
She surveyed the court for a few seconds before rolling her ball. Instead of aiming for one of my balls, she hit one of hers, propelling it forward into one of mine and sending it flying off to the side.
She gave me a triumphant grin. All her balls were closer to the pallino than any of mine.
Some men might have felt emasculated or gotten upset over losing to a woman, but it was a huge turn-on to me. I mainly wanted to put Adele in her place later and show her who was in charge.
