My poor pussy was battered and bruised, but she was purring like the cat that got the cream as she convulsed around him.

“Ash!” I screamed as he hit that spot that made me see stars. It added to the electrical pulses that were gathering in my core. He deliberately thrust up at that angle again and my knees wobbled. My mouth fell open as he held himself deep and rapidly moved his cock in a short, fast pace, the way he’d rubbed his finger inside me last night.

I was panting from the sensation, praying to the god of orgasms to grant me deliverance because I was about to detonate in an explosion that could possibly kill me.

“Come for me,” he commanded in a deep, growly voice against my ear.

Surely he didn’t expect me to climax just because he told me to? Yet my treacherous body began to tremble, the pulses in my core beginning to vibrate out into my body in preparation. His hands left mine to grasp my hips. He held me as his pelvis thrust into me in hard, deep thrusts that pushed me up the window.

“Oh, God!” I screamed. It all became too much when I exploded into a myriad of muscle spasms and nerve twitches, my pussy desperately trying to milk him.

Ash bit down on my shoulder, his cock throbbing as he joined me in orgasmic bliss, his body collapsing on top of mine.

“Was that a quickie?” I asked, when I finally managed to gather my scattered wits.

“Yeah,” he confirmed. “That was a quickie.”

I felt battered and bruised lying against this window, and I was sure that if anyone was outside they’d have received quite the show, but every synapse in my body was on fire. When he pulled out, I was empty and still craved him, needed his comfort more than I dared to admit.

Ash wandered into the bathroom to clean up and my hands trembled when I bent over to pull my jeans up. How the hell was I ever supposed to go back to a normal life after my time here? My normal had been exposed as a farce with nothing to sustain me emotionally.

“Ready?” I hadn’t seen him grabbing his jeans, but Ash stood dressed and not looking as if he’d just decimated me. My insides were the equivalent of milkshake right now.

“I will be when my legs start working again,” I muttered, retrieving my top and putting it on backward before turning it around.

His grin made my stomach flip, and he stalked across the room to me. Fear and arousal twinned inside me with every step he took. Fear because he was an apex predator stalking me. Arousal because that stalking made me want to sink to my knees and offer myself to him.

His fingers traced the side of my cheek, his eyes still that darker shade that told me he was fighting his emotions. “What am I going to do with you?”

A thousand smartass replies rippled through my head, but my brain ignored them all. Instead, I peered up at him wordlessly, hoping that he could read my emotions in my eyes the way I did with him.

His lips met mine in a tender kiss that left me rawer than his thrusting into me with no preparation. He tore all my defences down and left me vulnerable with one kiss. “If we don’t stop this, I won’t be able to let you go.”

My hands rested on his waist. “Why would you need to let me go when I belong with you?”

I wanted to bite my tongue off for revealing too much.

Ash studied me with an intensity that would melt the polar icecaps. His thumb traced over my bottom lip. “Everything I love is taken from me, all my dreams crushed under the heel of a merciless dictator. Do you have any idea what he would do to someone as pure as you?”

The only person he spoke about in that tone was his father.

“Then protect me.” I moved into the heat of his body and rested my head against his heart. “Don’t let them take me away.”

I relaxed while he stroked my hair. “It not as easy as that.”

Sucking in a shuddering breath, I stepped back and grabbed his wrist. “It is as easy as that, Ash. We either fight to be together or exist miserably apart.”

His jaw tightened and I honestly thought he would turn and walk away. “What if something happens to you?”

I shrugged. “Papa hid Mama behind those gates and illness still took her. All we can do is try and hope fate is kinder to us.”

His shutters came up and that fake smile appeared on his face. “You needed to go out. Daylight’s burning, let’s go.”

Over the past few weeks, I’d come to realise that Ash tended to contemplate everything from all angles before making a decision. I could only hope that he chose us instead of the other alternative.

I’d made a list of everything that I needed, and Ash acted as chauffeur for the day, replying to emails between destinations.

“Am I keeping you from work?” I finally asked outside our latest destination.
