“Good.” His lips skimmed the side of my throat. “Love the pendant.”
“I’ll let my business partner know that you like it.”
His lips twitched. “I’m sure he’d approve.”
Ash pulled out of me and I started to leak. “My dress…” Shit, it’s as well I was wearing velvet instead of silk. “Where are my panties?”
Ash set me on the floor and I clamped my legs together. A smile tilted the side of his lips up.
My eyes narrowed. “Give me my panties,” I demanded.
He slowly shook his head. “No way, Angel. You wanted me to claim you, consider yourself claimed. I’ll give these back to you later.” He pulled my Care Bears panties from his pocket and waved them in front of me.
He tilted my head back with his fingers under my chin and pressed the softest kiss to my lips. My heart melted and I couldn’t stop myself leaning into him. His eyebrow quirked and he slowly crouched down to tug my dress into place.
“Please, Ash…”
“Clamp tight, Lucrezia. I want you to remember who you belong to.”
The look in his eyes told me exactly who that was.
He opened the door a crack and peered out. “Out you go. I’ll follow you in a few minutes.” I stepped forward. “And, Lucrezia?”
I stopped and turned to look at him.
“No cleaning up in the toilets.” The smug smile on his face said he knew exactly what I was about to do.
Fuck my life…
I darted out of the door and tried to stop my heart that was slamming in my chest. Everything appeared the same as when I entered the room, but I felt different inside. I expected everyone to start staring at me, but they were still chatting around the room. I made my way to the bar and realised that I didn’t have my handbag.
“I hope I didn’t offend you earlier.” Ivan materialised from nowhere beside me. “I was just saying to Lucas that we should meet for coffee while in Paris.”
I deliberately misunderstood him. “I’m sure Papa has a slot free in his diary. He loves to catch up with old friends when he’s out of Tuscany.”
Ivan’s brow wrinkled. “Actually, I thought we should get to know each other better.”
His directness was hard to ignore. My thighs were almost quivering from the way I pressed them together. I swear Ash had saved up several ejaculations worth just to fill me tonight.
“I’m sorry, Ivan. I don’t understand. You are a business associate of Papa, are you in the jewellery business as well?”
His jaw tightened. “Not at the moment.”
“Oh.” I gave him my practiced smile. “Are you thinking of getting involved? I can certainly help with that.”
“There’s my business partner.” Ash’s hand landed on the curve at the bottom of my back and I felt my bag pressed there. “Ivan, how are you?”
“I didn’t realise you were in a partnership with Lucrezia,” Ivan glared at Ash’s relaxed smile.
“Our families go back years. I remember Lucrezia when she was in pigtails.” He smiled down at me. “Although, she’s all grown up now.” His proximity beside me screamed his possession louder than any words. I saw Ivan look at the way Ash’s body pressed to mine and I never once flinched away.
“Good to see you again, Ash. Lucrezia.” He nodded before he turned away stiffly.
“Was it something I said?” Ash asked.
I arched my eyebrow in reply. “Peeing on me would have had the same effect.”
His smile morphed into a wicked grin. “I was close.”
