My eyebrows shot up at the thought of them all crashing into each other on the tracks.

Me:I’ll keep that in mind!! Maybe I should bring my crash helmet.

Flynn:They’re not too bad, just like to blow off some steam.

Me:They seem to be a great group of guys. They welcomed me and made me feel part of the family.

Flynn:That’s because we are a family. Every one of those guys would move heaven and earth to help the others.

My furry feline jumped up and rested her head on my chest to stare at me. She did that when she sensed a change in my emotions, as if she could look inside me and see what I was thinking. I scratched behind her ears, and Pixie purred, her toes kneading into me.

Flynn:You still there?

Me:Yeah, just playing with my pussy.

It was only when I hit the send button I realised what I had said and dropped my phone in horror. That was not the sort of text you sent your boss. He probably thought I was a complete asshole right now.

I frantically tried to think of a way of retracting what I said without making it look like I realised what I said. My head hurt right now.

My phone started to ring and I stared at the evil fucker who had ruined my career.

“Hello?”

“Wow, I hope I’m not interrupting your pussy playtime.” His voice was filled with amusement.

My cheeks burned and I was glad I was on the other end of a phone and not sitting in front of him in person. “Nope. Pixie just missed her mummy while I was at work.” I stared at my nemesis while she continued to knead me. Her ears twitched when she heard the male voice.

“Say hello to Flynn, Pixie.” I held the phone out to her the way I did when Mum rang and she dutifully meowed.

“I’m impressed, I’ve never had a pussy talk to me before.” He still sounded amused.

“Maybe you didn’t treat previous pussies right,” I quipped. “Pixie had prawns for her dinner and is being affectionate now.”

“You have no idea how freaking weird this conversation is,” he replied.

“In what way?” I left the question hanging in the air, but I couldn’t stop my grin.

His husky laugh made my grin widen. “I refuse to comment as I may incriminate myself.” He cleared his throat. “Anyway, my offer still stands if you want a lift tomorrow. The track isn’t easy to find.”

I pursed my lips for a moment. It wasn’t as if we hadn’t been in a car together when we went for dinner. My head tried to think of an excuse not to car share, but my heart was in full control of the conversation

“That would be great, thank you.”

“I’ll pick you up around eight,” Flynn replied.

“Don’t you need my address?” I queried.

“Nah. I have access to all the records of everyone at the factory.”

“That’s called stalking,” I pointed out.

“Depends on the circumstances, and I have a really good barrister on retainer.” I laughed at his nonsense. “And technically, you had already agreed to get terrified by my driving in a car.”

“Yeah, yeah, yeah. We’ll see who the fastest driver is tomorrow in the race.”

He did that deep, masculine laugh that make my ovaries expand.

What are you doing?
