Dinner was at Wendy’s, with everyone chatting happily. Megan showed me the photographs on her phone of her goddaughter, the daughter of her best friend Cassandra and Jordan’s friend Xavier. She was a little chubby baby with dark hair and bright blue eyes.
“She’s such a good baby,” Megan said, smiling at the picture. “She rarely cries and blows kisses. It makes your ovaries want to explode.”
“Keep your ovaries under control, baby,” Jordan said from the other side of her. “We have an entire garden of baby squirrels for you to mother.”
Megan rolled her eyes at me and flicked to another photograph of Jordan holding the baby in a Christening gown. “He looks like that and then tells me to control my ovaries. They’re doing summersaults at the sight of this.”
I grinned at her expression. Jordan was clearly devoted to her, and Megan was a very lucky girl, because their love flowed both ways and was obvious to every single person sitting here. A pang of envy pierced through me because I desperately wanted that sort of commitment in my life. That thought had never occurred to me before, and I had always believed that I was happy with my life.
The past few months had changed my viewpoint on so many different aspects of my life, and most of those were because of the influence of Flynn. He had materialised like a tornado ripping all my inhibitions away and stripping me bare to him, both physically and emotionally.
“Xavier dotes on baby Gabriella too, and he was always stern and unapproachable in the Twilight Rooms. Who would ever have guessed he would marry my best friend and have a baby?” Megan continued.
Jordan distracted her a little later and I turned to Flynn, leaning closer. “What are the Twilight Rooms?” I asked.
His gaze darted for a moment or two to Jordan and Megan. “I’ll tell you later,” he replied, which perplexed me until we were in the car on our way home and I asked the question again.
His hand landed on my thigh and goosebumps rose to greet him.
“Jordan is co-owner of a worldwide chain of clubs called the Midnight Rooms and the Twilight Rooms,” Flynn said. “Midnight is a world of darkness, where you can have anonymous sex with strangers. It allows random hook-ups for an elite group of people. Different rooms cater to different tastes from vanilla sex to full orgies.”
My head snapped around to stare at him, my mouth wide open in shock.
“You look like that there, they’d take that as an invitation to stick a dick in your mouth.”
My mouth closed automatically.
“The Twilight Rooms is all about control. Jordan was a Dom there for years, and from my understanding, that’s where he met Megan. She joined the lifestyle and trained as his sub. They cater to every fantasy you can think of. Their newest venture was Midnight Manor, where you can literally book what you want for the weekend, whether you have a partner or not. They accommodate cosplay, fetishes, BDSM, roleplay—if you have a kink, they can find your perfect retreat.”
“Wow.” I cleared my throat. “I didn’t realise places like that existed. I mean—”
His hand moved up my thigh and my panties tightened further until I swear my pussy lips were going to start chewing on them.
“Jordan and Megan both look so—” I broke off again because I didn’t know what to say. “Normal?”
Flynn laughed, his deep tenor filling the car. “They are normal, so is every single person who walks in there. Sex is a basic human need and the guys cater to that. People crave a connection, even if it’s a one-night stand.” He flashed me that smile which made butterflies beat frantically in my stomach. “Jay was telling me about their costumes and the dinosaur costumes are in constant demand. Who knew dino porn was going to be such a huge industry? Also, vampires and werewolves have been a big hit for them. That, and a random duck outfit that they’ve had to purchase more of.”
“I can think of nothing to say to all that,” I responded.
“Want me to book us in for the weekend?” he queried, sliding me a sly look.
It shouldn’t surprise me, yet, I almost fell back against the door of the car. “You are not a member of a sex club,” I said in a hushed whisper.
His grin was pure seduction, and the way he bit into his bottom lip made my oestrogen levels rise. “Jordan made all our team members. Declan took his wife to Midnight Manor for their anniversary.”
I cleared my throat. “What about infections?” I queried.
“Everyone is regularly tested and you’re the first woman I’ve ever been with without using a condom.”
“Wow,” I muttered, my eyes wide and lips pursed. “I thought sex clubs were something that only existed in books.”
“Want to indulge in dino porn with me?” he continued, his grin teasing me. “I could be a werewolf and you a sexy vampire.”
I pouted. “What if I want to be the werewolf?”
He flashed that sexy smile of his that made smart girls make stupid choices. I’d lost my head too many times with Flynn, my normal common sense radar disabled every time he kissed me and made all rational thoughts disappear.
“That’s the entire point of Midnight Manor, you can be whatever you want. You can build your own reverse harem and spend a weekend or a month doing everything your heart desires.”
