“Only if you’re good,” I teased, my fingers linking through his.
“Baby, I promise to make you feel sooo good.”
I bumped my hips back. “I need to try on some of the other clothes.”
His grin made me stomach tighten. Liam took a seat out in the private area from the changing room to give me privacy. He was fun to shop with, nodding or shaking his head to each outfit. I left the lingerie choices to my eyes alone in the changing room.
Cassidy finally arrived with beautiful dresses. I had no idea which style to choose. Liam shook his head to the first two that seemed to have endless yards of material to them. The next was a red silken halter neck with a slight flair to the skirt that floated to the floor. The look in his eyes told me he liked it before he nodded. The last had an emerald green silken underdress with black lace over it that stretched down to my wrists. His eyes darkened and he nodded once.
My hands landed on my hips, my eyes narrowing in a glare. “I don’t need two dresses.”
Liam slowly unfolded himself where he was seated. “Baby, don’t forget you need a dress for our engagement party.”
All the women started to congratulate us and fuss, hunting for my ring.
“It’s next on my list, ladies. Can you get all this packaged up ready to go?” Liam unleashed that smile that made me weak at the knees.
“But…” I began to protest, my eyes scanning the pile he’d confirmed earlier.
“Put it on my account,” he silenced my argument. “Thanks for squeezing us in at short notice.”
“Liam.” My tone was low and armed with malice.
That salacious grin that made my tummy flip appeared. “Baby, let’s be honest, the lingerie is for me.” He dropped a kiss on my lips that had opened in shock and sauntered out.
Cassidy fanned herself. “That man is so hot he needs his own personal air conditioning.”
Liam was closing all my escape routes one by one. The only problem being, I no longer wanted to use any of them.

Chapter Sixteen
Liam
My phone pinged again with more hieroglyphics from Callum. I swear I should kill him and Michael, yet earlier had been a stroke of pure genius.
One summer.
That was the agreement, but now that I’d gotten over my temper tantrum at discovering the truth about why she left, I wanted so much more than that. Michael’s joke had backfired big time because I would do everything in my power to make his statement the truth.
Callum denied all knowledge of putting Michael up to the prank.
I knew nothing about fashion, but I knew what suited Oonagh. She tended to hide her curves behind baggy clothes. The outfits I selected showed her knockout figure to perfection. The entire world would soon know that Oonagh was mine, and I wanted her to be confident in her appearance. She deserved to step out of the shadows.
“No, seriously, I insist on paying,” Oonagh said somewhere in the distance, her voice annoyed and tone rising.
Rolling my eyes at her, I paced through the store until I found Oonagh surrounded by bags, her credit card in herhand. My arm snaked around her waist and I lifted her to carry her toward the door.
“Liam,” she elongated my name in annoyance.
“Oonagh,” I replied, turning my attention to the assistants. “I’ll grab the bags in a minute.”
“We’ll bring them out for you, Mr. Doherty. You have your hands full.” Cassidy began rounding up bags to follow us. My lips twitched at Oonagh’s rebellious expression.
“I can walk,” she hissed in my ear.
“Indeed, but this way I know that you’re walking to my car and not away from me again.”
