I looked up at Ice. “I need to go to my room and freshen up before the party gets going.”
His arm slid away from my shoulders, and he clapped Donovan on the back. “Wanna get a beer with me, bro?”
Donny shot me one last lingering look before giving Iceman a chin lift. “Sure, man.”
Turning for the corridor, I lowered my eyes so as not to catch anyone’s gaze and have to stop and talk. I was desperate to see Colt before everyone else got here but I also had to be careful. I didn’t want to raise suspicion.
Somehow, I managed to get to the corridor without being stopped. With my heart racing inside my chest, I strode to my room and let myself in.
Clicking on the light, I looked around the empty space and breathed a sigh of relief before pulling my cell phone from my purse and reading the message Colt sent me.
Colt:I see you. Get the fuck away from that asshole.
I smirked because, let’s face it, it didn’t hurt Colt to see other men interested in me. I’d put up with that shit for years. Now the boot was on the other foot he could feel a smidgen of what I’d had to witness.
Plus, it made him show me who I belonged to, and I loved it when he got all growly.
I was putting my phone away when the door burst open and Colt stood there, eyes blazing at me.
My heart leaped as he strode across the room in two quick steps and grasped the back of my neck, pulling me close by my nape. His calloused fingers tightened on my skin, igniting sparks. I inhaled his familiar scent of leather and Creed, and my pulse quickened. It was crazy how even after all the years I’d known him, his presence still overwhelmed my senses.
I tilted my chin up, parting my lips in invitation but instead of kissing me, he leaned down and grated out, “I was in my office watching you on the cameras. All I fuckin’ do is watch you on those things. Can’t tear my goddamned eyes away from you.”
“I didn’t encourage him,” I breathed.
“You encourage him by existing, baby. You only need to look at a man and he’s under your spell. I should know, you’ve bewitched me for years.”
“Good,” I whispered. “Because you’re the only one I want.”
He nuzzled my nose with his. “I love you more than anything. I’d lay down my life for you, Freya.” His head descended and he caught my mouth with his.
Every nerve ending tingled, and blood began to rush through my veins. It was always like this with us. Whenever Colt touched me, he set me alight. I burned for him.
“You’re mine,” he said softly. “Nobody else can have you. If I could lock you up to stop men even looking at you, I would.”
Before I could respond he crushed his lips to mine again.
I melted into him, my hands tangling in his hair to pull him closer.
Colt groaned, the sound vibrating in his chest, and he walked me backward until I hit the wall behind me. He braced his hands on either side of my head, caging me in. The hard length of his cock pressed against my belly, and I rocked my hips involuntarily in an attempt to soothe the ache between my legs.
One hand slid down to grip my ass so he could grind me against him. “Tell me you’re mine,” he demanded, kissing down my jaw. “I need the words.”
“I’m yours,” I said with a moan. “Always.”
“Damned straight,” he muttered, circling his cock so it hit my sweet spot. “I love you more than anythin’, Freya.” He pulled back slightly and grinned. “We gotta get outside.”
“Oh my God,” I whined. “You’ve gotten me all worked up.”
Colt chuckled. “I’ll make it up to you.” He raised a hand and cupped my chin. “You go out first, I’ll follow a few minutes after—”
I jumped slightly as a loud rap sounded from the door. “Freya!” Atlas boomed. “Ya seen Colt?”
Colt’s body locked.
My stomach plummeted and my eyes bugged out. “Er—Um—No?”
“You decent?” the SAA called out. “Open the door.”
