Within seconds, the two kittens were out of their cages and being snuggled by the little girls.

“Oh my Gods, she’s so tiny” Sunny shrieked. “She’s so pretty, and adorable, and fluffy.” The little girl cuddled the pure white kitten, eyes rounding as she pulled it into her neck to snuggle.

“They’re Munchkin kittens,” Dad said proudly. “They won’t grow big.”

I took in the cute kittens and smiled at their tiny ears that sat flat to their heads. “What are you going to call them, girls?”

Kady smiled at her white cat with tan paws. “Taylor!” she announced.

Sunny sat on her ass to tickle her kitten’s tummy. “I know! I’m calling my kitten Princess Pretty Pussy,” she shrieked.

Atlas barked a laugh.

Abe let out a hoot.

Dad’s cheeks reddened slightly.

Bowie winced. “Fuckin’ great.” He stared at Dad. “Cheers for that, Pop.”

Pop preened before turning to Kai. “Your gift’s outside, Son.” He glanced at Billy who gave him a nod before turning for the door. Dad clasped Kai’s shoulder and led him out to the parking lot. Kit and Kennedy following behind.

I fell into step behind them, curious about what Dad had been up to. Knowing him he would’ve gone crazy. This was the first holiday with Kennedy and the twins at the clubhouse, and I knew Dad would want to make it special for them.

An excited shout went up from the parking lot and my steps faltered when I saw Kai jumping up and down in excitement next to a black dirt bike.

“John!” Kennedy shrieked. “What did you do?”

Dad shrugged. “He’s only allowed to go on it when someone’s with him,” he announced. “I’m makin’ that rule right now.”

Kai’s eyes shone. “Please, Mom. Please can I keep it?”

Kennedy sighed exasperatedly. “Do I even have a choice?”

Kit slid his arm around Kennedy’s shoulder. “It’s okay, Kitten. I’ll look after him. We’ll make sure he’s safe and I’ll teach him properly.” He studied his mini-me son who’d already thrown his leg over the saddle and was trying the bike out for size. “No fuckin’ around on it, Kai. If you wanna ride, you learn properly. Get me?”

Kai looked up at his dad, nodding earnestly. “Yeah, Dad. Thanks.”

A huge grin spread across my brother’s face as he gazed down, almost awestruck at his son. There was so much love between them that it made my chest swell with emotion. It was so beautiful to see Kit finally at peace after all the trauma he’d experienced.

The door opened and my heart fluttered as Colt came sauntering out. He was dressed my favorite way. Black jeans, long-sleeved top, and leather jacket. He looked like something out of a magazine. Handsome, charismatic, and sexy as hell.

His stare caught mine and he shot me a sexy wink. “Merry Christmas,” he called out, his eyes resting on Kai’s bike. “Whoa, nice wheels, Kai.”

My nephew puffed his chest out, resemblant of my dad. “Grandpa got it for me. Isn’t she cool?”

Colt cast an appreciative eye over the dirt bike. “You’ll have hours of fun on this, but you make sure you’re safe, yeah?”

Kai nodded furiously. “Already talked to Dad. He’s gonna teach me.”

A strangled sound escaped Kennedy’s throat.

Kit laughed and pulled her in closer to him. “Don’t worry, woman. I’ll look after our boy.”

I smiled because I knew he meant it.

“Come on,” Dad yelled. “It’s freezing out here—” he was cut off by a loud rumbling sound coming from down the road.

Colt smirked, turned to Dad, and muttered something I couldn’t quite catch before glancing at me and grinning.
