I bit down on my lip as a smile wanted to break out on my face. With a soft giggle, I pecked his lips only for him to roll his eyes. He gripped my hair and pressed his lips against mine again, only this time, it was more than the peck I had given him. His teeth tugged on my bottom lip before dominating my mouth. I allowed my hands to comb through his hair as his tongue begged for a taste of me.

It didn’t take long to feel him hardening beneath me.

“Emanuel, really? You have to go,” I laughed out as quietly as possible.

“Alright. Don’t forget our promise,” he spoke.

I could only smile as I held up my pinky. He looked down at my finger with a pointed look. It may have seemed childish to him, but pinky promises meant everything to me. When he noticed my serious expression, he let out a loud sigh before wrapping his pinky around mine.

“You have to leave from the window. Luckily for you, my bedroom is on the first floor,” I smiled.

He gave me one last peck on my lips before grabbing his clothes. I watched him stand up from the bed, leaving me to view all of him in his manly glory. It perplexed me how he could be so confident. Maybe it was because he was gorgeous, and he knew it. I wished I could be strut around naked in front of someone so freely, but reality laughed mockingly at that wish.

“I feel like a teenager again,” he grumbled, throwing on his boxers.

He slid back on his slacks and tossed on his shirt. I watched patiently as he buttoned up the buttons after he folded his suit jacket over his arm. I could only watch him as he walked over to my window where he easily pushed it open.

“Bye, I will see you soon,” I chuckled.

“Yeah, you better.”

EMANUEL

I thought that once I had Christina, I would finally get rid of this obsession I had with her. I was wrong. It seemed as though my obsession grew stronger. My mind always ran wild with thoughts of Christina, and I was practically shaking just to touch her again. I was addicted.

It had been three days since I last saw her. Three days was far too long of a wait for me. It felt even longer of a wait after she filled my body with so much pleasure.

The most insane part of it all was her ability to push me away so easily. It was a power I wished to have. I tried everything to get her phone number, but not even my little brother, Dante, could find it. Dante was an expert at finding anyone and anything. I always admired him for his intelligence.

“Sir, your brother, Luca, is on line two,” Matteo informed me.

I signaled my personal assistant to go away with a wave of my hand before picking up the phone.

“Emanuel,” came the sound of my younger brother’s voice. It had been so long since I last heard from Luca. As much as it pained me to say, I missed him. He was my brother after all, and there was once a time where we were much closer.

“Luca,” I smiled. “How are you? How’s my nephew?”

“I’m fine, and Alessandro is fine too. He likes his new nanny. Sometimes, I think he likes her more than he likes me,” my brother sighed.

I felt bad for him. Alessandro was a shy boy who found comfort in being alone. It must’ve been hard for Luca to ever connect with him, especially since he was always so busy. I had always wondered if having a mother in his life would have made any difference.

“That’s good to hear. What does this nanny do that gets him to open up to her?” I chuckled in an attempt to lighten the mood.

I could just hear the smile in his words as he spoke, “I think he just has a crush on her or something.”

There was a loud silence that settled over us. I was sure he was thinking the same thing as me. We were reminiscing about what life used to be before everything changed. Before he had a child by a woman he didn’t know, and before I split off and went my own route to abstaining my own fortune.

“What can I do for you, Luca?”

“It is about Liam Franco,” he answered.

My jaw clenched at the sound of that bastard’s name. I had almost absurdly forgotten that Christina may still be an intern at his cooperation. It was wrong of me to assume she would just openly obey my wishes and stay far away from him. I should have checked up on her, and I was praying to whoever would listen that Luca wasn’t calling me to tell me something was wrong with Christina.

“What about him?” I questioned.

Luca sighed. “There was a woman, Stephanie Hearse, and I saw her a few weeks ago. She was a stunning woman with a body to match. When I was going to approach her, Liam beat me to it. The funny thing is that a week later, this woman goes missing out of nowhere. No traces, no fingerprints. Stephanie had no reason to leave, yet she disappears a week after I saw her with Liam…”
