“Ouch. That bad?”

“They don’t trust me and follow me everywhere.”

My heart cracked for him. “No one talks to you?”

“I’ve made a little friend. Her name’s Heather. We’re both outcasts.” Jealousy flashed in my chest at his admission. “Her mate stalks me to protect her.”

Thank God she had a mate. Otherwise, I was going to threaten to cut off Raze’s balls because they were MINE.

“I’m glad you have someone to bond with.” I hated the idea of him being lonely when he’d always had a tribe and pack for company. “Everyone on the commune has a mate?”

“Not everyone,” Raze grunted, and I imagined him lifting his solid legs onto a coffee table. “Many were recently matched in a lunar ceremony, but there’s some conflict.”

“Oh, drama. I love it.” I expected him to unleash but he didn’t.

“I don’t pry.” He switched gears on me with, “I’m making a home for us all to share when you get released.” Fuck. He planned for us to be together. Sweet with a capital S. “The commune is pitching in resources and manpower to build us a five-bedroom cabin.”

Five? One for each of my men and men. I let out a squeal.

“Careful,” he warned, his hearing sensitive to high pitches.

“Sorry, my wolf.”

“I think you’ll all like it. A bedroom for each of us. Loungeroom and kitchen. Shared bathroom. Fireplace.”

I didn’t even know what living arrangements my men planned post Guardians. Tor, Knoxe, Pascal, and my families lived in Sydney. The Bathurst commune was three hours west of the city. Wild and free Raze would hate living in such a crowded place and I’d never ask him to.

That left one other option: commuting to visit each of my men for a few days. The logistics of that would be hard. Clothes and belongings at four homes or lugged them with me every time I jumped house. No, that wasn’t ideal. I wanted a central home for all of us. Like the home Raze planned for us.

I ought to speak with the rest of them and find out what their plans were. It wasn’t fair to let Raze do all that work on building us something nice if the rest of my men went in different directions.

I crushed the phone in my hands to keep hold of that dream. “That’s sounds really wonderful.”

“Don’t lie to me, Little Wolf,” Raze warned me. “I can hear it in your voice.”

“I don’t know if they want to live with our pack or if they want their own space.” Admitting it shredded my throat and fire set into the wounds. “Everyone might want to go their separate ways. Live their own life.” I picked a ball of fluff on my uniform.

“They’ll go where you go,” Raze assured.

“You don’t know that.”

“Yes, I do.” His confidence didn’t match mine.

Tor had responsibilities with his family. Knoxe, his place in Sydney where he restored old cars as well as his mom and sister. Pascal his studio for recording music. He wasn’t that close with his family so he might be willing to stay with us.

As for me, my family also resided in Sydney… with the added complication of my dad’s surprise re-emergence. Personally, I wanted to return to my career in the Bathurst Guild where Luna now worked with her team. At least that kept me closer to Raze… as for the others, our future remained unclear.

Fuck. Everything seemed uncertain and in the air. I didn’t want to make plans when I wasn’t sure if we’d stay together once we gained our freedom.

“I’ll talk to them.” I filled my voice with as much certainty as I could muster.

“Good,” Raze said with such finality it told me he wanted to move on from the topic of my other men.

Oh, things were taking a naughty turn. Sign me up.
