I sigh with contentment as his lips graze across my jaw and down my neck.

Touching him, kissing, everything...it’s so right. So natural.

“You,” I laugh.

He groans in appreciation.

“After you’ve eaten, you can spend all night enjoying me.”

He glances up, his eyes dancing with excitement.

“Thai?”

His thumb drags across my bottom lip, and he stares at me like he’ll never get enough.

I know the feeling.

“If that’s what you want.”

After kissing me until my legs are trembling and the only thing I can think about is sinking to my knees and feasting on him, he sends me to the couch with a gentle tap on my ass.

My cheeks blaze as I think about him spanking me earlier.

I loved it.

“Sore, Luck?” he asks when I not-very-discreetly reach back and rub my ass cheek.

Glancing over my shoulder, I give him what I hope is a seductive smile. “In the best kind of way.”

Tingles run down my spine as I saunter to the couch. He’s watching my every move.

Once I’m seated, I look back, and my heart tumbles in my chest.

He’s got the happiest smile playing on his lips.

I know because I can feel the same one on mine.

He makes quick work of ordering our dinner before pulling a bottle of wine from my refrigerator and grabbing two glasses.

After pouring us both a large glass, he settles beside me.

The apartment is in silence and the lights of the city—and the stadium—twinkle before us.

I take a sip of my wine, feeling more relaxed and happier than I have been in a long time.

Of course, we’ve both got a lot of things to work through, but I’m confident that we’ll figure it out.

We just need to start working together.

The last few weeks have been a blip. Both of us were scared and unable to process the changes and what we really wanted.

“You know, this is far less scary than I expected,” Kieran confesses. “I thought a proper relationship would feel like pressure. But right now, I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted from my shoulders.”

I sigh, smiling up at him.

“Don’t get too ahead of yourself; it’s only been a couple of hours.”

“That doesn’t matter. It’s you, Effie. You always make everything better.”
